I never checked in. The road had construction i couldn't get down. They basically stoled my money by not telling me there was construction and rudely refusing to refund when they were notified of this.

I made a reservation through an online booking service for my senior dad and me. This property is located far off the interstate, we drove about a half hour on back roads to find it. When we arrived we found that the owner is not located on the property, other guests were outside and called the owner to let him know we were there. While waiting, at the suggestion of the other guests, I looked in one of the rooms to see what it was like as the pictures online were limited. The rooms were unlocked.I walked into the room, looked around, didn’t touch anything, and walked out. When the owner arrived some minutes later, he screamed at me for going into the room, refused to listen to me, and ordered me off the property. I have never been so badly treated by anyone at a hotel/motel. It was extremely upsetting, plus I had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay last minute, again at least a 30 minute drive away. I am trying to get my money back for a nonrefundable reservation. Seriously, just don’t stay, ever.

Staff is very friendly. Easy to get to and if you’re in Lovells I recommend staying here! Beds are comfy. Bonus content: there’s a fan in the room!

The owners were amazing! My arrival was delayed until after 10pm but they accommodated me . Room was very clean and comfortable!

Overall an above average experience. I found the owner to be one of the nicest part of the experience. He was helpful, friendly and willing to make sure my experience was a good one. If you need to be around the North Branch of the Au Sable it doesn't get more convenient than this. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was quiet and away from what little traffic there was on Lovells road. While there is no thermostat for the air conditioning unit which fed all 6 rooms, it was quiet and sufficient for a pleasant sleep on the hot, humid nights I stayed there. A few caveats: would be nice to have a coat hook somewhere to hang various things; it would be nice to have a towel bar in the bathroom to hang a towel or two; I would have liked (needed) a plastic wrapped cup or two. I would have given it 4 1/2 stars if I could. I will definitely use this next time I want to go to the North Branch.

Owners were great. Friendly and knowledgeable about stuff to do in the area. Little quaint town was refreshing in a small town friendly vibe. Definitely go back there again.

It was clean and kept up. Room was not in the building pictured but one behind it, also behind a gas station. Easy to find and some groceries at the gas station were convenient and a bar across street for a meal.
Beds are very high off ground not recommended for kids and TV in awkward place, couldn’t watch from bed. Quiet considering it sits at a main crossroads. Plenty of parking for my 14 ft fishing boat.

IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I CAKE ACROSS.
THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE HOTEL, NO STAFF. NO ONE RECIEVED US.
WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR, KEPT KNOCKING ON THE OFFICE DOOR AND THEN FINALLY LEFT SONCE NO ONE CAME.
WHEN I CALLED FOR A REFUND, THE OWNER WAS A "******".
HE WAS RUDE AND DID NOT GIVE US A REFUND. TO WHICH, WHEN I APPROACHED *******, it was not their policy to refund someonw if the hotel does not refund.
So here I am, ruined my vacation, wasted my $100 and faced Racism
