It was our first time in Luang Prabang, and we picked Kiridara based on other reviews. Rest-assured, it was a smart choice. The location was great. While not in the center, there is a market super close and a supermarket about 10 minutes away. For the rest the hotel offers a free shuttle which is on call until about 9 pm, and takes you more or less everywhere you need to go. The rooms were clean, nicely layed out and offered everything you need. If something was wrong, it was fixed quickly. The pool was refreshing and offered a great view. The drinks from then pool bar were delicious. The highlight was the breakfast. There was a small, but nice buffet plus a menu. The a la carte menu was the biggest plus. You could pick up to four dishes, each from one category, like eggs, hearty or sweet. Be sure to eat yourself through all the options, while you stay - it‘s worth it! All in all a great stay, and we will come back to Kiridara for sure for our next stay.

Hotel offers a luxurious experience at an incredible value. Spacious, clean rooms with beautiful decor provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere. One drawback is that there are quite a lot of mosquitoes here

After seeing the reviews of this hotel on Xiaohongshu, I decisively booked this hotel, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. You feel at home and at home! On the day we arrived, the boss told us that he had a washing machine, free laundry, a drying platform to dry clothes, and a kitchen for cooking. He also introduced us to the morning market, night market and the time to participate in alms. In short, if you have any questions, the boss will help you. The boss is Chinese, so communication is very convenient for us who are not good at foreign languages. The exchange rate at his house is higher than exchanging money at the checkpoint or on the street. He also helped us rent a car to Xiguan Waterfall and the high-speed rail station. Try to help us save money on car rental. When we go to Xiguan Haobu, we rent a business car. The car can accommodate 7 guests. One car costs 70W kip. The boss helped us make an appointment for 6 people, which costs 12W per person. We also went to Dazhou on the way. I fed the elephants in the Elephant Garden, and went to the internet-famous Rice Field Coffee on the way back from Xiguan Waterfall. The location of his house is great. It's 1 to 2 minutes' walk from the river and 3 minutes' walk to participate in almsgiving. Get on a 40,000 kip minibus from the station, and the driver will drop you off at the roadside in front of his house. Don’t worry about not being able to find the hotel you booked when you go to Luang Prabang for the first time. The four of us are independent travelers who are all over 70 years old and are not good at foreign languages. It is very convenient to stay in his hotel in Luang Prabang. The staff are so lovely here. Very accommodating and always have a smile on their face. The room was very spacious which was a god send for us as we had been travelling for a few weeks in Vietnam beforehand, and some of the rooms we stayed in were quite small in comparison. They provided amenities and a stocked mini bar. The rooms are located with a few metres of the night market, and the morning market starts just outside the front gates of the accommodation. The people there were so quiet that you couldn’t hear what was happening outside of your room or on the street. We did have a bit of a giggle at the sleeping arrangements, as the bed was two pushed together, but this didn’t bother us. The door we had was a bit tricky as it was wood and seemed to get stuck… quite possibly due to humidity.. but a bit of elbow grease doesn’t hurt. Breakfast was great with fruit served along with your choice of meal. I opted for the noodle soup one morning and the second morning eggs. Very tasty. The meals were very generous. They even kindly packed us takeaway breakfast as we had a morning flight to catch to our next destination.

I choose this hotel due to the decoration style and location also now rate is good. Hotel is small but convenient, location is great ; nearby by the river and tourist attractions. Staff service is excellent, all are very helpful with smile. Room is good, clean but wall and ceiling need to touch up. Breakfast is not variety, I prefer to have local foods outside the hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this small hotel. The rooms are correct, clean but very spacious. The staff is very nice and despite the language barrier, try to satisfy us as best as possible. We have to order the evening if we want eggs. Otherwise we are a group of 12 people, the only on the hotel, and a certain lack of organisation despite the good will of the hotel. I am a solo traveler in my 50s. Most hotels in Laos are small-scale. The staff are very friendly. This hotel has a semi-basement, so if you book a cheap room, there is a high chance of being booked in the semi-basement. Even just idling at the table in front of the hotel seems emotional. Breakfast is plain bread and coffee. The location is good, with many shops nearby and close to the Mekong River (1 minute walk). Hmong Ahi Market is also close by (5 minutes walk). There is also a Miniso nearby, but it doesn't have many items. I bought sunscreen and a band next to the Miniso pharmacy. Currency cannot be exchanged at the hotel. The room is not that clean by Korean standards. Some complaints are covered up by the kindness of the staff.^^ It seems like a lot of European travelers stay here. Overall, I am satisfied with the price.

Very cost-effective, very unique all-wood hotel. There are many termites outside after the rain, and there will be small geckos in the room. There will be monks passing by the door after 5:30 in the morning to give alms. It is a short walk to the Foreigner Street. The location is excellent, and there is a pizza shop next door, which is also very unique. The price is more than 100 yuan per night. The bathroom facilities are a bit old, but the room hygiene is still OK. Slippers are required at the entrance of the hotel, and you are barefoot without slippers when entering the small building, which is very similar to northern Thailand. The hotel breakfast is to walk to the Mekong River behind, which is very simple, just sliced ​​bread, croissants, sausages and fried eggs. There are only instant coffee and tea bags. You can ask for American coffee and it will be brewed for you separately.

I took a half day emountain bike this morning with 2 other people. I was super excited having paid $75 for it, had high expectations... The bike itself looked fine, however it could not handle steep hills. I asked another guest on the tour to test it as I was really struggling. He said it had no oomph or power on the steeper hills. He too ended up pushing it which he didnt have to do at all on his bike at any point. The others were motoring through pain free and they were older than me. The guide tested and said it was fine. Of course. The climbs were steep and it was exhausting. We never got to stop for photos or admire the scenery and it felt like an endurance test. We were then taken on a hike to some caves but I couldn't manage it after the exertion of getting there. The guide never checked on me and just let me go down alone. There was a van with three men in it (at this point I didn't know they were going to take my bike to the next village). As a solo traveller my first thought is my safety. Here I am waiting (no phone signal) in the middle of nowhere with these three young men there. The woman in my group observed there was 'bedding in the back'. It was unacceptable. I was then deposited I'm a village somewhere (alone) and waited for the others. Please note I am fit, lift weights and play badminton in a league. I have also played semi professional football. I gave them the opportunity to make it right but as ”the guide said it was fine” it clearly was, fine. Breathtaking. I also felt the reply had a degree of judgement in it ”difficulties completing the course” like I'm a 39st unit! There are no managers/decision makers on site. A premium price for a basic product- should have just hired a mountain bike for a tenth of the price. I hate giving bad reviews and if it had cost a bit less then I probably wouldn't but I really think people should know they are rolling the dice with this company. Absolute waste of time and money. Lunch was ok. Avoid. I feel so mugged off.
