Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre

It was a very relaxing stay here. The breakfast is worth mentioning because they have a good selection and delicious food.

We spent a week @Kilworth House from 24th to 31st Dec.It was the best Christmas and birthday I've had, from start to finish we were looked after brilliantly. We arrived lunchtime Christmas eve and we're greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff.A young lady fetched all our luggage from the car and took it to our room as soon as it was available.We stayed in Shelley for our Christmas holiday and then moved to Milton from 27/31.We had friends staying from 28/31st also in luxury rooms. Christmas eve started with a lovely afternoon tea and then in the evening a lovely meal in the Orangery.All the lounges and reception had the most wonderful decorations and open fires.It was magical.The orangery was also decorated and we were all seated at individual tables for Christmas. We didn't have breakfast on Christmas day as we were to have a 7course Christmas lunch.It was superb. There was a lovely buffet in evening but we were full.The whole Christmas period was perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. After Christmas we moved to Milton and that was so easy I just packed everything and the staff transferred it from room to room. On 28th two of our friends arrived early and the staff arranged breakfast and everything was perfect for them.They stayed in Oscar Wilde until 31st and had a wonderful time. Our other friends arrived on 29th ( my birthday) and we all enjoyed Neil Diamond in the Orangery where the restaurant manager made me a lovely chocolate birthday 🎂.A special night. On the 30th we saw the Rat Pack and again a fantastic night was had by all. We all left after breakfast on 31st happy and spoilt. I would recommend Kilworth House to anyone that wants a really fantastic experience and to be looked after well. I forgot to mention when we arrived we had a lovely hamper and Crystal glasses in our room with a welcoming Christmas card. That was an unexpected fantastic gesture. Thank you again to all the staff for making our stay absolutely amazing. I must also thank Lee for making a particularly complicated booking so easy .

We were two couples enjoying New Years eve 7 course dinner. The food was fabulous. One of our party was intolerant to certain foods but we had given the hotel all necessary information and the Chef produced a terrific menu for our friend. She said it was some of the best food someone had prepared just for her. We all enjoyed the NY Eve menu. The staff were fantastic and attentive. There was a duo who entertained us followed by a very good disco. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The full English was very good. The grounds are beautiful. The bedrooms are large and extremely comfortable and each one is decorated differently and most have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside or grounds. We enjoyed it so much we have reserved again for next year.

My daughters treated me to "The Rat Pack" stage show in the Orangery at Kilworth on the weekend before Christmas. The meal before the show was excellent; some of nicest beef that I have tasted! The show was brilliant; three imitators of the original could not be faulted. We stayed over night and my room was superb. Clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. Probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed at and I have stayed at many all over the world. Sunday morning breakfast was just fine; American pancakes, blue berries and maple syrup; what more could you wish for. We are hoping to repeat the experience next Christmas.

Our Christmas break at Kilworth House Hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Overall it was a very relaxing Christmas break, just what we needed.
