Fabulous from start to finish. It was not my first stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Macau, and it will not be the last. I missed the art, pulse and liveliness of Macau, and the Sofitel is perfectly located for an incredible stay. Sofitel has charm. It’s a gorgeous place to stay with the warmest of welcomes. The friendly team made a huge effort to share the best in service and create a remarkable experience, and they did. Experiencing the warm welcome, the surprising birthday platter and the genuine kindness shared. I can not thank the team enough. When asked about off-the-beaten-track places, the front desk team did their best to offer advice and local insights. Sofitals reception team shared helpful suggestions on bus routines, times to visit areas and sights to see along the way. These suggestions made a difference. The room standard was amazing. The hotel doesn’t let anything slip, they updated and revamped beautifully. The river view room was bright, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The amenities are five-star standard, and the cheerful housekeeping team were kind and friendly. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the team who was a pleasure to chat with and get to know. There are many shout-outs for this stay. The kind and thoughtful little things such as the handwritten card and handy guidebook. The friendly faces were a pleasure to meet, and the inspiring reception team who gave good local advice to the minibus team who collected customers with care and perfect timekeeping. Sofitel Macau has so many floors and layers, from the glitzy chandeliers and pool with a fresh night view ( my advice: you must check out the 6-floor evening view) to the clean and relaxed gym ( hosting quality equipment) Thank you, Vinny, Jessica, Jade, Kate, Joy, Lee Mark, and Angel. I hope the weekend brings you a lovely moment in your diverse neighbourhood.

Particularly impressed by the male night shift (before 6am) manager's warm and welcoming attitude towards guest. First of all a natural smile when I approached the desk. Accommodated my late checkout request which I appreciated from deep within my heart as I only checked in at 5.50am in the morning and every hour of sleep counts. Upgraded me to a suite, which also is the last non-smoking room available at that time when he knew I am a non-smoking individual. Was shocked when I entered the room as it was huge! A king size double bed with long sofa beside as well as a dining table. A more private area with a proper writing desk can also be found near the corner of the room which is perfect for business trip or if you need to have a private discussion with someone. Bed mattress and pillows are slightly better than average, not the best which is expected as its a 4-star hotel which has been operating for close to 20 years and only re-renovated in 2011. But then to my surprise, the hotel actually got the finest shaving blade and shaving cream as compared to 10 other hotels that I have stayed in Macao. Was in a hurry in leaving the room and I managed to finish my shave within 5 minutes. The shave was exceptionally clean and smooth and left not even a single cut or scratch anywhere on my face. Trust me, for other hotels, I normally have to shave for 15 - 20 minutes and have to use tissue to dry of any blood resulting from a shaving blade which is either too sharp or too blunt... My shave at Casa Real was just perfect! Finally, checkout was also efficient and both the staff and morning shift manager were more than happy to allow me to keep a hotel room key card as remembrance for my stay. I was also given a new blank one when I requested for it! I really enjoyed my stay with Casa Real and was very happy with all the front desk staff as well as managers' efficiency and friendly attitude. Will definitely stay in this hotel should I have any future opportunities. However, the downside of this hotel is its location. Most taxis do not normally come to this area to look for customers. For those that do come, are the ones that drop off passengers at the hotel, which means it can take longer than usual to get a taxi. It took me 17 minutes last time and there were 3 more passengers at my back waiting... Hotel guests should be aware of this or should walk to nearby areas to get a taxi more easily.

This hotel is a fantastic location but it is in desperate need of a really good clean. Staff are friendly and this is the second time we've stayed here but I think that the lack of cleanliness means we'll find a different place next time.
Hotel Guia

Booked a room with a mountain view and was put in a dark room with no window because ”double beds were limited”. Disappointing as staff did not communicate this at check-in, would have rather had single beds with a window.
PENSÃO FAMÍLIA (RUA DAS ESTALAGENS)

The location is very good, very convenient and very close to Ruins of St. Paul's. The entire decoration of the hotel is relatively new and looks very bright and clean. There was a problem with the toilet in the bathroom at first, but luckily the Filipino guy at the front desk helped us solve it. He was really nice, friendly, and efficient. Although the room is small, it is fully functional and not very noisy at night. The only thing is that the windows cannot be opened for ventilation. What kind of bicycle do you want at this price? I will stay here again next time I come
East Asia Hotel

This quaint hotel surprised our expectations. It may not be a luxury hotel like the ones familiar all over Macau, but the service, dedication and congenial vibe given by its staff is truly impeccable! I would definitely come back and put my guests here again and again. Not to forget the convenience and close proximity it is to various heritage spots in the peninsula makes it worth it too! Keep up the good work and see you next time! Kudos!

The surrounding of the Hotel is pretty quiet but just a little bit remote. The services of the hotel staff is excellent and helpful, no matter what questions you asked they do have a friendly smile. The food especially the breakfast are very good. On the whole I do like this hotel very much.....
Dormy Boutique Hotel

It’s worth what I paid for. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The hotel is right next to a Filipino cuisine restaurant called “He-brews” which makes the hotel location even better. Thank you so much Dormy Boutique Hostel for taking good care of us.
