Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Beds are VERY uncomfortable and gave me a rash all over my body. Food is subpar. Staff are ok. Air-conditioning did not work which left me unable to sleep. They charge extra for things like the sauna, which other hotels don't charge for!

It is not acceptable that the Hotel, knowing that the customer cannot attend due to no flight, does not agree to change the date of the stay. It is not acceptable. This desire to make a night's profit is not good for the Hotel or for Azorean tourism, demonstrating a total lack of common sense.

Staff always seem to be irritated. They are not helpful. The beds are hard as a plank of wood. Furnishings are very dated.

Way better than expected
Wow, this hotel has some of of the best hotel staff I have experienced (the bartender was a bit maudlin for 11pm on a Saturday), amazing location, great pool and lots of breakfast.
My air conditioner was leaking - they came and fixed it and even left me an extra large towel if it acted up.
