Hotel Indigo Madrid - Princesa

Madrid|1.7km from Church of Saint Genesius
Like in other reviews, the main pro about this hotel is location. Very convenient for metro and bus access, and within reasonable walking distance to the Palacio Real. However, that’s about the only reason to book this hotel. The Front Desk staff was rude, unaccommodating, and just plain wrong. He insisted that the room was not suitable for two when the booking and rate type, both in my confirmation email and in the IHG app, clearly showed “SLEEPS 2.” When I asked if it’s a twin bed in the room, he said no it’s a queen. So I asked what’s the problem then? As we were getting our keys he then said by the way breakfast would normally be for one but in this case I give you guys the second breakfast free. As if he were trying to come across as doing us a favor, when I know for a fact that the rate I booked included breakfast for up to two guests. Our best guess is this person was ********** (it was myself and my ******** partner) and couldn’t stand the idea of us being in this room together. This is also all without so much as even acknowledging my loyalty (Gold) with IHG. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Expresses with considerably more welcoming staff than this man (won’t name him by name unless IHG reaches out) displayed at this property. Stay at this property for the location but don’t pay anything more than 60€ per night. Anything more than that is a rip off. And don’t expect to be given a warm welcome by this particular front desk person. There was another person - a woman - working the front desk but our interactions with her were unfortunately limited. Perhaps the experience would have been better if we had been welcomed by her as she was considerably more pleasant.

What a great find. Three days in Madrid so this location was great on a pedestrian street. Between Sol and Opera metro stations. Extremely busy street but had good nights sleep. Good room and bathroom. . Thanks to Carlos at the front desk for all the helpful information. Short walk to the excellent San Miguel food market. For a good walk in a beautiful park do visit El Retiro - magnificent.

Amazing location! 2 blocks to TWO if the best chocolaterias in town (1902 I could see from my window!), 5 mins to the Market San Miguel, 5 Mins to the plaza, 7 mins to the grand vie, 12 -16 mins to the Palace and inter opposite direction the fountain Cibeles. 18-20 mins to La reins Sophia. Very clean with good air conditioning! Did not do hotel breakfast so can’t comment on that (18 euro if not included… so Either have it included or just go get a cappuccino and chocolate churros around the corner

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable and very comfortable. It was a very good hotel, but it was a good hotel, and it was a good hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The only negative thing is that in the washroom I was going out warm water all the time when I was very warm and couldn't refresh me. Maybe there would be a little more swab, but with the two I had done well. There are many places nearby to drink, from chocolate in San Ginese to La Rollerie, where I finished breakfast quite well.

I was one night in Madrid and found this LastMinute hostel right in the centre of the capital.Very excellent location (in 2 minutes you are in Puerta del Sol), absolute friendliness, especially of the lady and very familiar environment. It is recommended to those like me who love the event and do not fear to sleep with unknown people from all parts of the world.

We got an awesome room, great location and super Fun pool. It’s super popular with the Instagram crowd and they cater a bit to them. But everyone is super nice and friendly, treated our kids lovingly although they accidentally threw away our baby’s lovie and couldn’t find it later which super sucked. The bathroom flooded because it was so full of hair from previous guests, kind of gross. Got an absolutely terrible night sleep because you can hear every single Thing in the hotel from next door to above you. They seemed to be vacuuming rooms at 1:00AM above us and moving furniture which was super loud. Food was great, service was excellent but alot of snotty people.
