The warmth of the mangers is unprecedented and unparalleled. Special mention of Mr. Ashok Mr. Noor Mr. Eashwar all ably led by Mr. Srivastava. Managers extend beyond the call of duty and the Tajness spirit of service is very evident. A must include in any travel in the state of TN.

“An excellent resort with welcoming staff, set on a beautifully preserved colonial heritage property. The highlight of our stay was the spacious rooms and the delightful sight of numerous peacocks roaming the property. The food was outstanding, and the overall experience was exceptional. We received exemplary service from Eashwar, Pandian, and Gowthami, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We will definitely return!”

Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff with best customer service. I like to mention Mr Pandiyan for his best service and caring attitude. He makes sure customers are satisfied with the stay. And Beautiful place with lot of peacocks. Best city view from the top of hill

What an amazing hotel. A true boutique heritage hotel. An oasis of calm in the madness of Madurai. The access road from the main road climbs up the hill through a forest to the top where the hotel sits overlooking the town. It feels like you are in a hill station. Even the weather is cooler. The staff were all lovely and attentive. The al a carte better than buffet but the buffet not bad - they cater the buffet to westerners so not as spicy or rich as normal. The grounds have loads of peacocks and all 3 days we were here (2nights) we saw males dancing at least twice a day. The rooms above the reception have little soundproofing which was annoying on one night as the family next door were noisy for a bit later than we wanted but this not take away from a lovely stay. We 100% would stay again.

This heritage property is easily one of the beautiful and well maintained. The receptionist Govind made our day with the free upgrade to colonial room and he was extremely expertise in handling the guests and quickly allowed us to check in to the room and explaining the details. So 5 stars for the hospitality. The room is well lit with ample sunlight and space and with very good restroom and a private garden/sit out. The property has a pleasant weather through out and breezy and every where you will see peacock flying and chirping and it was sight to watch. The few things which i would to highlight as a scope to improve are 1)Breakfast buffet spread was very limited. 2)Amenities the indoor sports was limited, only chess and snake and ladder was available in game room which will not suit all age group. 3)Outdoor sports, Pool was very well maintained with sauna and steam. Gym is functional. However the badminton and tennis courts and rackets need a replacement as well as maintenance of the court respectively.

Very smooth check in and check out process, room cleanliness is highly impressive, very testy food with moderate amount of spices feels like homemade food. Ambience is fantastic. Overall stay is very comfortable. And about the staff, they are very friendly, polite and helpful in all aspects. They make our stay very comfortable and it forces us to me to come next time to enjoy hospitality of Taj MADURAI.

The Taj Gateway Madurai was really an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend this if in Madurai. The staff was very attentive and went way beyond to look after us. Food was excellent and served by caring wait staff. Housekeeping did a great job. Trips planned were memorable. Meenakshi temple is a must see!

You just can't go wrong with the Taj! Taj Madurai is another example of a lovely hotel and delightful staff - and food Pretty garden - and peacocks to welcome you Chef Sahu, ms Kim, Ms Saina, mr.Pandian, Mr Malai and so many more made the trip really worthwhile
