Hotel is old dated and needs a serious refurbishment. Indont know how the hotel got a three star rating? This hotel would not even be fit to bring your mistress. The overall feel of this establishment is grubby. I would not recommend this hotel, it poor period.

On arrival greeted by Denise and complimentary cocktail the hotel itself very beautiful clean and warm feeling smells lovely as you enter the main entrance the room we had 101 and room 1 is lovely and bright and huge bed which was a bonus had the best sleep very comfy food in restaurant 100% amazing nothing was to much trouble well done to all the staff Traffic was nightmare getting there but well worth it loved everything and so glad chose this for my birthday treat Carl and Deborah thomas Sarahjane & David (cornwall)

This hotel really served our purpose as a convenient overnight stop whilst attending a wedding. The double room on the first floor was clean, the shower hot, plenty of towels, ironing board, hairdryer, fan; in short everything we needed. It was also great to be able to check in a little earlier so we could enjoy a quick cup of tea and freshen up before the wedding. A very nice young man at reception, I think his name was Banjul, was most attentive, friendly and helpful though the staff at breakfast were also very nice and kept all the breakfast supplies stocked up. I loved the fresh fruit salad, fresh watermelon and selection of hot beverages. My husband enjoyed nicely cooked back bacon and freshly fried eggs. It was all excellent and there was a relaxed, friendly vibe in the breakfast room.

The check in wad really slow, & it wasn't busy, so can't use that as an excuse. Bar service was slow, again wasn't busy. Staff we're nice enough. Room could do with a bit more cleaning. Heavy dust on skirting boards & it doesn't take much to move furniture by bed to clean it. Also coffee or tea marks on the wall, again wouldn't take much to wash off. Pillows we're not the best, but bed was comfortable & it wasn't to noisy. Breakfast was OK but used cheap Sausages ( Richmond) yukkk. No mushrooms either, & hash brown we're cooked in a deep fat frier. Not good when your trying to eat low fat. Would I honestly stay here again probably not.

This Hotel looks good from outside and thats where it ends. Plenty of food at breakfast but the 'hot' food was barely warm. After fist day we had continental. Our table was vey sticky and was pointed this out and told the guy it needed cleaning properly, next day same table had not been cleaned. In our room we found milk out date -June 24 - and its now August , when returned this to reception and total not interested attitude was shown. we had also asked for our room to be tidied and this didn't happen so again down to reception to complain and get coffee/tea. Bathroom shower just tricked out water and the toilet needed to be flushed twice every time. In conclusion , a total lack of interest by the staff

The kind helpful staff make this hotel what it is...a gem! I've stayed here several times, and that would only happen if I felt safe and very well looked after. Room facilities are good. There is a good breakfast selection and lovely clean restaurant area. Well done!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights sons wedding.The majority of staff are all very helpfull. I only have 1 large moan about the Management the secretary.After my son spending thousands and all the guest paying to stay the night a large amount of money change hands.When we got home i found i had left my phone charger in my room.I phoned up and staff said they had found it,and would get management to send to me.I offered to pay for it to be sent to me and was told it would be free of charge.The next day i was called by the secretary and asked for payment. I would have thought after all the money they received from the wedding and guests they would have sent it free as i was told in the first place.Management should think before getting staff to phone customers with an attitude.In the end told them to chuck in bin. Would not go back there again.Totally ruined a nice say.
