Vincci Selección Posada del Patio

Malaga City Center Malaga|0.14km from Golden Tips, Tes, Cafes y Chocolates
This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

Malaga Premium Hotel

Malaga City Center Malaga|0.08km from Golden Tips, Tes, Cafes y Chocolates
This is a really nice hotel, but don’t be fooled by the name, it’s more budget than premium. The staff are all absolutely lovely, really pleasant from check in to check out. They greeted us every single time we entered and left the building and are a real credit to this hotel. So let’s start with the room. I booked the superior room with views and I’m not sure that I got that room because it looked nothing like the photographs on the website which showed two large windows and quite a spacious room. We had a double room with a balcony overlooking the square, on the first floor. This is NOT recommended. It was so noisy, and it wasn’t so much the chatter and traffic outside, but the restaurant. At opening the chairs were dragged across the ground, the bumping music was turned up so we didn’t sleep in once during the holiday. Then at night had to listen to it all again. It wasn’t at all relaxing. And if we didn’t hear the restaurant, we heard the lift going up and down all night long. This isn’t really the room I thought I’d be having, whilst there was a balcony, it wasn’t the views they show on their own website. The room was also really small, like i mentioned above, more budget than premium. One thing that really made me laugh was the room had a kettle and two cups, but absolutely no tea or coffee was supplied apart from two tea bags and two packets of sugar when we checked in. When i asked at reception if we could have a couple of coffees, just assuming that housekeeping had forgotten, I was told if I wanted coffee, I had to go to the restaurant. That’s fine, but what is the point of having a kettle and cups in the room?? Even the most basic hotels supply tea and coffee as standard, so why a hotel that claims it’s premium wouldn’t makes no sense. The bathroom was also poorly designed with the sink jutting out so far you had to go around it to the toilet. The shower, however, was amazing. Also, not the end of the world but there are no foreign language channels on the tv (no English or German) so if you’re planning on chilling out in your room in the evening or even just want to drown out the sound of the restaurant below, remember to take an ipad or something you can stream from. The rooftop bar was another great point, again the staff were great, it was really spacious and it was really cheap to buy drinks. The hotel was really clean and housekeeping did a great job everyday too so no complaints in that department. The hotel is also in a really good location, right in the heart of the city, and whatever way you turned when leaving the hotel you ended up somewhere great.

Stayed in room 406 top floor, very clean, lovely room with views over the rooftops, breakfast was plentiful continental style with scrambled eggs & small frankfurter type sausages. The roof top pool was cold but lovely all the same as was the sunbathing terrace on the roof. 2nd time staying here, probably will be a 3rd!!

We ended having our flights cancelled suddenly and had to quickly at 3pm find somewhere to stay . This was available and was read well and 15 mins into the centre from the airport. It was right in the middle in between the shops on 6 floors and nice and modern, greeted by friendly staff. We had a nice room , which despite requesting a double found we had a twin but as we were only there overnight , decided to stay put. Nice black and white decor with a small but nice bathroom with good accessories and good air conditioning. Have had a stroll outside, owing to the frustrating day we’d had we headed to the 5th floor to the rooftop terrace. Scaring the bar staff as we arrived bang on 5pm with no sign of anyone and were trying see if it was open when they appeared not expecting anyone to be up there. It’s a lovely place to see the city overlooking the cathedral ( merrily ring out the bells ) and served lovely cocktails and snacks to keep us going. Surrounded by loads of bars and restaurants ,you don’t have to go far to find somewhere and later on Malaga comes to life and is thriving and lively. We will come back and stay longer next time.

We were totally amazed by the hotel! It was ideally located just off the main shopping street in Malaga. The bells of the cathedral could be heard from our room! Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed in it. 2 Adults and 3 children stayed comfortably with 3 single beds and a bunk bed! The staff were very kind and helpful people. I have no hesitations in recommending this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for a week at the start of August 2022. On arrival we were a little early but this was no issue and our room was ready and the reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and neat as i would expect. We had a really good view over the town across the dry overflow to the Old town. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the old town center and around 15 minute walk to the beach all very flat no hills so very pleasant. Another huge benefit is the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the central rail station and very easy to get to from the airport with a single adult fare on the train at only £2. Train is 20 mins to Torromelinos and 30 mins to Benalmedina and cheap again adult return £3.5 and £5 respectively, very quick and easy, but remember you still need a face mask on the trains!!!. Nothing bad to say about the hotel we had a fantastic week and a lovely stay. We will certainly return.
