After having visited Zambia several times before , Track an Trail Camp was really a different experience. Apart from the beautiful scenery and the special sightings ( I always felt excited when seeing a leopard, but here we had encounters every day!!) the hospitality of Kirsten, Chichi and Peter was like coming home and being part of the family. The chalet was big and tasteful with view on the river. In three days with Peter on a photosafari he taught me many tricks to use my camera better . The other guides were very knowledgable and friendly like all of the staff . I’ll be back! Pien Grootveld

Can't say enough good things and Track & Trail. From being picked up a the airport by staff member Albert whom was very kind and welcoming. Upon arriving we were shown to our rooms which were beyond expectations. Very clean and beautiful. After settling down and went to have dinner we were met our hostess Chi Chi the sweetest lady ever. Had a great meal and a very sound sleep. Could not recommend this place enough to anybody looking for a great experience in Zambia.

The staff was exceptional from meeting us at the airport, check-in, meals to our game drives. The rooms were very clean and maintained during our stay. The food was very good however, we would have liked to see some more local options on the menu.

Wat hebben we een paar fantastische dagen gehad! Een hartelijk ontvangst in t mooie restaurant aan de rivier waar we steeds genoten van heerlijke maaltijden. Bush bucks en olifanten liepen rond over het terrein en het personeel was zeer zorgzaam. We werden vaak begeleid van en naar ons prachtige chalet, de bruidssuite. De fotosafari was supergaaf, 2x per dag een gamedrive met gids en fotograaf Peter en spotter Matthew. Zij kennen het gebied, maar ook het gedrag van de dieren , waardoor we veel gezien hebben. We genieten nog na met prachtige foto's . Ook hebben we nog gebruik gemaakt van de campsite, welke ruim is met voortreffelijke voorzieningen. Al met al een aanrader, waar we graag nog een keer terugkomen als we de kans krijgen.

Everything was very good organized. Nice lodges and good beds. Also very good foodprocessor. The waiters in the restaurant were very friendly. We had a great holiday and are coming back for sure. The game drive was very beautiful with a good and professional guide.

Our visit in April / May was our third South luangwa visit and our first to track & trail river. Camp. We liked everything very very much, gamedrives with Peter and Andrew, Chi chis warm hospitality. The food. The whole daydrive to the storch colony and the flooded ebony were the very special ones, which we will always remember. There is a lot on our wishlist. But a return to this camp is very high on it!!! Warm regards Janine & Antwain

We spent a beautiful week at Track And Trail River Camp. We organized 7 days of photographic safaris with Peter, an exceptional guide and photographer. Peter always managed to find ideas and photographic situations. The real secret is that Peter knows his park well and can focus on what you enjoy the most (birds or mammals). The photographic days allow you to enjoy the most beautiful colors and moments, experiencing the sunrises and sunsets inside the park. South Luangwa Park is slightly crowded at the entrance (there's only one gate from Mfuwe), but entering and exiting at the right photographic times, you hardly encounter anyone; in any case, just a few kilometers away from the gate, you find yourself completely alone. Peter knows his park and based on our requests/photographic hopes, he was able to find us beautiful situations. He taught us a lot and gave us advice to improve our photography skills. It was interesting to review some of our shots on the computer and see what he thought as a photographer; he gave us many tips. We stayed in a beautiful house with a river view... we want to go back right away! The lunches and dinners were fantastic; we recommend them to anyone passing by, even if they don't stay there overnight: stop for lunch and dinner at least, you will be extremely happy with this decision. The lunches and dinners were always different, always delicious, with a three-course daily menu that changed every time. The recipes and the quality were incredible, absolutely recommended... thanks to the chefs and thanks to Chici who oversees the entire kitchen and the menus! Again, thanks to Peter and Chici for welcoming us and helping us discover South Luangwa!

Located just 5 minutes drive from the National Park main gate, Track & Trail River Camp was the perfect location for our safaris into the South Luangwa Valley. Peter and Chichi are very friendly and professional hosts and the food their chefs produced was the highest quality we experienced in all our time in Zambia. All staff were friendly and helpful, with special mention to Kenan, Eric and Inok. Our Chalet was very comfortable and spacious and the community swimming pool was very much appreciated in the hot weather we experienced. Peter was very helpful with my photography in the 3 days we spent with he and Andrew (Stevie Wonder) our spotter. We will definitely return to Track & Trail.

We were two weeks in Zambia with Peter as guide and organisator. We had wonderfull time and seings. Safaris were absolutely great. spotings exceptionnals. Photography lessons of Peter excellent also. Friendlyness, professionnalmism, perfect understanding of our whishes. Great team. Good food (important for french people...), very good rooms, clean, comfortable, spacious. Definitely a place to go and...to come back!
