Falnir Palace

Me and my wife had a wonderful stay at the falnir palace in mangalore. I have stayed here a couple of times before so i know the hotel quite well. We had booked an ac deluxe room which was neat and tidy, but could have been bigger. I expected a much bigger room. But the room was very clean, the staff helpful. The best part is that the hotel is very accessible in terms of location and is near to many important places in the city. So overall, a good stay.

Very courteous and helpful staff, who booked my room in advance on phone though i was uncertain about my trip. Made payment later. Room was good though AC which wasn't working was rectified when brought to notice. Buffet breakfast simple and sumptuous. Help for arrangement of transport also readily done by reception staff. Hotel near main market so convenient.

We had an excellent stay for a week at this hotel. The entire team including the manager Mr.Cletus, Vijay, Akshata, Sudeksha, Rajesh & the housekeeping staff were polite, kind , helpful, and prompt in their services throughout the day. The hotel was well maintained and clean. The breakfast was good, with different items served daily. The hotel is centrally located with good restaurants and supermarkets close by. Zomato & Swiggy also deliver to the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again as well during our next visit.

It was a good experience actually pros: everything was good about the room and staff were very polite and humble, breakfast also was fine location also was good as it was in the prime location of city price of the room was also reasonable cons : we actually early checked in and it costed 1050. I mean it's half of the price of the stay just for 3 hours early hours. There was no kettle or anything for making your own warm water ( you can still ask the front desk for hot water ) the ac didn't work properly it could be better if focused on room's amenities

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The reception staff abhishek was very polite and efficient. The rooms were clean and tidy. The location is a plus for the hotel. Room service was a bit slow but i have no complaints. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

Food : i had just two meals, one ala carte and the other, the complimentary breakfast. Food is good. Taste wise, cost wise though i feel the quantity of chutney is a little lesser than expected. Location, for me was the biggest usp. It is located in the heart of town hampankatte. Service i didn't make much use of so, no comments on that. The rooms (inside) was ok, not fancy but fine and acceptable. They said ”toiletries” but there was just one soap and nothing else, i had to buy stuff that i needed. Outside the rooms, work on interiors was on and hence was not the thing i would expect in a hotel. But still ok. But the only reason i am not sure i want to go back is the attitude of the staff at the reception. When i went down for breakfast in the morning, they asked me when i would check out, since check out is at 12. I said i had to go to a nearby temple and would be back, use the restroom and change into travel clothes which i would need only 10-15mins. He said no we cannot allow you after 12. You can leave the luggage at the reception but you can't go back up. I left the bag down. I returned by 1pm. Just an hour after check out. I requested again for a place to use the washroom and change my clothes. They refused. Said that i could change in the washroom adjacent to the reception. This was frequently used and in front of the reception. I was quite embarrassed to fold and pack in front of other guests. They were not full. Work was on in the floors above. They could have found a room which i could change, or even if not, they could have at least attempted to try. A flat no. No attempt was made, even to say i had i would be charged or something. Service for me, was not up to the mark. No hospitality.
