Riad Wazani Square & Spa

Marrakech|0.04km from Aromatimri
I stayed here on a weeks solo trip to Marrakech and honestly it couldn’t have been a better choice of hotel. It’s located just off the main square so perfect location for all the sightseeing and day trips you can organise. The room was clean and comfortable with air con and complimentary water and biscuits on arrival, as well as toiletries. I stayed in the Piano room on the ground floor, it was plenty spacious for me, though the space at the sides of the bed may be difficult for those with limited mobility - however given the pool and restaurant are up 3 flights of stairs, the hotel may not be the best choice for those with mobility issues (there is no lift). The breakfast was different every day but always traditional Moroccan baked items such as sponges, pancakes, and breads, and always brilliant! They serve lunch and dinner too which were also really good, especially if you’re wanting to relax by the pool, as they will serve your food on the terrace for you. The terrace is stunning, but the tiles get HOT in the sun as does the sides of the pool, so make sure to wear flip flops or sliders, and maybe place a towel on the side of the pool to get in and out as you will burn yourself - not the hotels fault at all though! I made use of the spa and massage service which were fantastic and well priced, as was the tour guide (Tahir) that the hotel booked for me to show me round the Souks and Badi place. That was definitely worth doing as sellers in the Souks don’t try to rip you off when you have a tour guide! Finally, a massive thanks to the staff at the hotel Hicham, Youssef, Ismahane, and Abdel Jbar. They were incredibly helpful all week with anything I needed, full of recommendations for all aspects of my trip, organised guides, taxis, and trips, and were generally just incredibly welcoming and friendly. A credit to the hotel and I would have been lost without them!

El Kennaria

Marrakech|0.04km from Aromatimri
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights at Riad El Kennaria and we didn’t enjoy it. To start with a positive note, the staff is great, they are helpful and nice. The restaurant at the rooftop is also nice, a little more expensive than others in the area but it has a nice view and good food. We also booked the 3 day Desert excursion with them, and it was great. The breakfast is good, not the best, but quite good. They even give you a bag with a little breakfast and orange juice when you leave early and miss the breakfast times (for example when you go to the desert excursion or to the airport), which is very nice and thoughtful. The worst thing about this hotel i’d say its the shower. We stayed at one of the rooms in the ground floor with shared bathroom. The toilets are fine, but the shower is just awful. The door to the shower is situated on the ground floor, where there is always people hanging around and people outside the hotel can even get a line of view with the entrance to the shower, so forget about going in or out the shower just with a towel. You need to go fully clothed. The problem is that once you open the door you are directly inside the shower, you don’t have any room to change comfortably or place your clothes. There are only some hangers on the wall, but let me be clear, everything you bring with you will get wet as there isn’t a curtain to stop water from hitting your clothes. The floor gets all wet as well, so getting dressed before and after showering can be an uncomfortable mess, even a little dangerous because you need to dress while standing and as everything is wet is easy to slip. Also, there’s no place to hold the shower head, and the hot water doesn’t last too long so you better hurry. Its just an awful experience and it’s more than enough to avoid this hotel. For the price you are paying they could at least put a shower curtain, something to hold on to as you change and a bench to sit on as you get dressed. Making these little changes would improve the experience a lot!!! Another thing that we didn’t like is the fact that the restaurant is just too loud. I mean, its nice when you actually want to go for dinner there, as it has music until 11/12pm, but walls are thin, and the music is very loud. We could here everything from our room, not only the music, but the people talking as well. It’s very loud, and its not uncommon to have a very early excursion or trip the next day, so you’ll want to go to sleep early and it gets so annoying. The restaurant has another drawback, as your shared bathroom is in the middle of the hotel lobby, you can expect most of the people that go to the restaurant (its very popular) going to your bathroom as well. Making it not only dirtier (thankfully they clean it often, but at night when most people go to the restaurant, they don’t clean it), but also meaning that you may have to wait long lines to go to the toilet. As well as having a lot of people hanging out outside your room (ours wa

A very clean and exquisite shop, the lobby staff are seen cleaning the floor every day. The breakfast is also very rich. Although I don't like taji pot, the chicken taji is still delicious and there are many varieties of fruits. The location is also good, right at the gate of the market, you can walk to various attractions. We even walked past the Ysl Garden. It’s about 25 minutes. It’s good to walk around. I don’t like the taxis here. I don’t like the price. I don’t bother to talk about the price. The attractions are very close and can be solved by walking.
Riad Irhalne

This is such a lovely place to stay in Marrakech. It is peaceful, clean and traditional. The host, Mohammed, is like a big brother who is there to make sure you are comfortable, entertained and safe. He is so pleasant and relaxed. In the Riad the facilities are really adequate, breakfast is lovely and the dinner we ate there was so easily the best and most authentic of our entire stay. We booked our trips with the help of Mohammed and as a result we were on the safe hands of our own driver who transported us safely, comfortably and in a tailored way on the typical trips at a fair price. This gave us some control over what we did which was appreciated. I would highly recommend Raid Irhalne as it's not just a place to stay but a full Marrakech experience.

Riad was great value - in a very convenient location, all of the staff were extremely helpful and so so kind and the decor itself is also beautiful! Our host Zakoinia, gave us useful advice to navigate around Marrakech including areas to avoid, when to tip, and also helped us arrange our requested services (private transfers and laundry) within minutes. The private transfers were organised with people collecting us directly from the Riad and walking us to the car. We also told Zakoinia and another staff to not worry about making our breakfast as we were leaving earlier than the time they serve breakfast (7am-10am) however they both insisted to cook us breakfast earlier so we wouldn’t miss out. We even got early check-in (at 9am) even though we didn’t ask for it! I would recommend this Riad to anyone looking to stay in Marrakech.

The location is close to the center of the square and it is not very easy to find. Breakfast is a bit simple, but it is delicious.
