Hotels Near Calanques National Park in Marseille

The InterContinental M****ille is undoubtedly the best luxury hotel in M****ille. Housed in a converted historical hospital, it offers a unique and charming ambiance. The breakfast served at the Terrace boasts breathtaking views and includes delicious freshly made waffles and refreshing orange juice. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the beds are luxuriously comfortable. However, upon our late arrival at 11pm, we were disappointed to find only cold sandwiches available for room service.

Location was fantastic , just opposite m****ille Saint Charles station . Checkin staff was friendly. the supermarket was just next door making it very convenient.

Value for money was great. The room was very clean and kitchenette was complete. But the refrigerator wasn’t working at all…so we couldn’t keep anything cold. Air-conditioning was very effective and quiet. Location was not great, but good — it was super near Gare Saint-Charles, but around a 10-15min walk to the Old Port. Nevertheless, I would recommend this aparthotel.

My partner and I are staying in this hotel tonight (17Sep) The good. New hotel, feels clean and fresh. Nice airy lobby / reception area. Small pool but clean and inviting. Really friendly staff, I’ve asked for slippers and bucket of ice, delivered to our room within minutes with a smile. Thank you🌸 Underground car park, very convenient, but expensive. Bad: Our room ( no 814) has a very strange layout. The bathroom is “split” in half. Toilet is located separately by the door and the other “part of the bathroom” sink and shower is located on the other side of the room. Separate toilet has NO sink, so every time we use toilet we have to walk to the other side of the room to wash hands - unpractical, illogical and dead annoying. Very limited room service menu, very few dishes, no wine, no champi. The area - really dirty, rubbish on the street, noise from nearby apartment blocks. All in all - okay’ish for 1-2 nights not longer.

Although our stay was fine, we had a very bad experience. My brother-in-law forgot his tablet in his room. He had left it on the floor near the wall and in the morning upon drawing the curtains open the tablet was hidden behind so he didn't see it. Arriving in our next hotel destination (Villeneuve-Loubet) he realized the tablet was left in Toyoko-Inn. He immediately called the hotel and the security guy told him no tablet was found. He went to personally check the room that happened to be empty as no guest was in that room that night. He then told my brother-in-law he didn't find anything. We called the hotel again the following day and we got the same answer. We sent an e-mail to the hotel manager only to get the same answer. Since there was no other guest in that room it seems that only people from the hotel entered it. We can not believe a tablet can vanish without a human intervention so we suspect that somebody from the hotel found it but didn't deliver it to the reception. This matter ruined the remaining days of our vacation and left a bitter taste in our mouths. I sent a complaint to the Tourism Office in M****illes but they couldn't answer me as they are on public holidays! So, if you stay in that hotel double and triple check your room before you leave because if something valuable is forgotten it's more than certain it won't be recovered or compensated.

Very good hotel. The room was clean, fairly large and well furnished. We had a view of the city. There was a walk-in shower that was quite modern and functional. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff was quite helpful. The breakfast is not worth the price, in my opinion. Although fair for the amount of food provided, this looked not particularly typical of France and M****ille, especially for the cakes and croissants that were nothing special in honesty. Further, I personally do not like to get coffee from automated machines in hotels as they can taste rather watery, especially if going for a decaf option, plus there is no way to get a cappuccino done with non diary milk alternatives. Given that there are a number of local patisseries, boulangeries, local cafés and even a Starbucks coffee at walking distance from the hotel, there are plenty of alternatives, some of which offer experience of local taste for the same price or less. Hotel location is fantastic, as stated above very central, in a relatively safe area, at a short walk from main attractions, cafés, great restaurants, and just behind ”le panier”, and 10 mins walk to the port vieux.

The hotel is in a good location. Very near to the centre. The room extremely clean and the hotel in general. The staff very friendly. We could have our breakfast outide. There is a huge place outside to sit enjoy a drink or a meal. As we we’re coming to town we saw lots of rubbish in several parts of the town in Marseille. I didn’t like that…. But the hotel was a great choice.

Excellent reception, friendly staff, excellent bed comfort , the cleaning of the bathroom can be better done. The nearness of public transport and shopping centres makes a hotel to be recommended without hesitation.

What makes this place special are the people. Yes, it is modern, tastefully designed and immaculate with great access to public transport and a couple of local treasures, the front desk with Tata, Tania and Sujata, complete with broad smiles and great local knowledge are a compliment to manager Emmanuel and Mr Fixit, Julian.
