The Rainforest Ecolodge - Sinharaja with Shuttle Service

Ecolodge experience was satisfying with the location and the excellent service. Sandun & staff, thank you for the service and care given to us during our two night stay. We are personally thankful to the dining and the kitchen stuff for the extra care given to our daughter's daily meals. It was a great experience with Shantha going on the forest trail. Overall, we are fully grateful to the management for providing us with this unique experience. We will visit again for sure. Thank you. Beside that, there are a few things I must mention as improvements. I noticed the cabin needs a few renovations inside as well as outside. The bed we had wasn't sufficient enough with having our baby in it. Finally, this is just a request for you to consider putting up a little washroom in the car park area. People might be needing it after a long trip. Especially women and foreigners. The house near the car park facilitates their toilet by charging Rs. 50 per person without even issuing a ticket. This I see as an unfair amount to charge and an unprofessional way of doing business. I hope you count my requests. Thank you ones again.

Perfect location to relax and unwind and to get disconnect from everything else and reconnect with the nature. Loved my stay there llistening to the birds tweet from my own deck attached to the chalet. Was lucky to see a magpie from there too. Food is delicious. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is very ffriendly. Will be back.

This was a wonderful experience that truly grounds you with nature. The hotel staff is kind and helpful, and Jagath the naturalist was very knowledgeable and fun to trek with. We recommend taking the longer trail for a more immersive rainforest experience. However the shorter trail is as good, and includes a waterfall :). The food at the property was very good. We chose to have Sri Lankan cuisine for lunch and it came with a generous array of vegetables. The food felt clean and healthy to eat and is a great option for vegetarians. Breakfast and dinner were also very good. Meals are on set menu. The rooms were cozy and just nice. We enjoyed our experience here.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, it is very well located in the rainforest, but unfortunately their spa and wellness department was under renovation, so unfortunately this could not be used, a bit sad. We went on the waterfall tour, with their guide JAGATH, it was super good, he is sweet, smiling and laughing a lot. An absolutely perfect guide and all $20 each. Our recommendation is that 1 night is enough if you arrive early, as the first tour starts at 10 at 15. Since nothing much happens apart from their guided tours, the calm and a fantastic nature 👍

The experience in this hotel was great! The moment we arrived the professional staff made us feel welcome with their friendly service.one of the highlights of our stay was exploring the surrounding forest trails. This is the best place to enjoy the nature.

What an experience our stay at The Rainforest Ecolodge was! Nestled amongst nature, with the most scenic views, we enjoyed our stay to the upmost. The treks and hikes we did with the experienced naturalist, especially the "night walk" will remain embedded in our memories. We were truly able to have the most fulfilling exposure to nature like no other time!! The hotel staff made our stay further worthwhile, attentive to all our needs, always with a friendly smile. The food too was nothing short of excellence, after each meal that we had we left with our stomachs and hearts full... delicious! Looking forward to our next time in this hidden gem soon!
