Ryokan Matsukaze Reviews

I really like the ryokan, even though the bath is shared, there are no problem with using it. Everything is super clean. The only downside is that because the wall is super thin, if you encounter noisy guests at the hotel, it could get really loud. I had to ask a family to quiet down a bit after 12am, because they had a kid that was making commotions. But other than that I actually really enjoy the room (and it’s really the cheapest option in the area)

There are 6 bathrooms on the 2nd floor. We went with a family of 5 people. The bedroom is very large. The shower room is on the 1st floor. The onsen is separated in another building at the back. There are yukata to wear and towels. Overall, it is very good. The price is reasonable.

Very very good, Japanese traditional room, you can take a bath, you can shower, all the staff are very friendly! You can definitely stay there! There are beautiful mountains and rivers nearby, you can ask the store manager to take a bicycle out to play. Very very good!!!

Location: It is a 10-15 minute walk from Matsumoto Station, but in the opposite direction to Matsumoto Castle. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk to Matsumoto Castle. If you plan to go sightseeing in Matsumoto Castle, you should consider it more. Facilities: There is no toilet in the room (between bamboos). The public toilet is very close to the room and very clean. There is no heating in the corridor, so there is a big temperature difference when going to the toilet at night. Although the hotel has a hot spring, it is in an annex, across the street from the main hotel. If you want to soak in the hot spring at night, you must keep warm, otherwise you can only use the shower room attached to the main hotel.

It was a quiet inn located a short distance from Matsumoto Station. There was a drum at the entrance, and the style of beating it to call the host was very interesting. The room was very spacious and I was able to relax very much.

The accommodation may be nearly 1 km from Matsumoto Station, but close to Nishi- Matsumoto Station (take another stop for 180 JPY). The accommodation is quite good. The refrigerator is very cold. The air conditioner must be turned on at 22 degrees Celsius to be cool.

Likewise, a small place with kind people taking care of it. I was quite impressed because it was cheap and quite clean. The only problem was the bathroom. Because I stayed in another building, the bathroom was a shared bathroom with a bath tub, so I had to walk across to take a shower in another building.

Family hotels are like homestays in China, but cleaner than many homestays in China. There are shared bathrooms and showers, and a small hot spring, but there is no view and it is unisex. However, you basically climb mountains and hike, and the hot spring time is not very long. The hotel owner is quite enthusiastic, but he is often not there, and you need to ring the bell. This homestay has triple rooms and is suitable for family trips. It takes a 10-minute walk to the JR station.
