Antoine made us feel very welcome on our arrival; extremely friendly & knowledgable; thank-you. He supplies a list of good restaurants; trips; etc. The Good Life are eco lodges. 8 in total. 4 facing the pool & 4 to the rear. Make sure you book a pool facing room. The rooms are bright, airy & open plan…including the bathroom. As it’s an eco lodge the air conditioning is turned off during the day; however we asked for ours to be left & Antoine obliged; but please turn it off if you are out for the day. Our pool view room had a lovely verandah; very peaceful & relaxing at the end of the day. The rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, but no fridge; however you can use their communal fridge to store beers, drinks, snacks, etc. There is no bar, but you can bring alcohol back if you desire. The breakfast is beautiful; different egg choices, fruit, tea/coffee, juices, etc. Lovely pool setting with day beds. The best thing about this place is that it’s quiet !!! You can hear some traffic at times, but it’s mainly peaceful with just the sound of birds. Being in the far north of the island (which is beautiful); you will need wheels to get around. Short walk to local beach & the pretty chapel. The more built up Gran Baie is a 15 minute drive/ride away. 1hr30 from airport (2100MUR) £37 one way. We would both highly recommend The Good Life !!! Thank-you guys & all the very best !!!
