Hotels Near Lighthouse Island (île au Phare) in Mauritius

We thoroughly enjoyed two weeks at Laguna Beach and found it to be great value on All Inclusive. Sea view double rooms were of a reasonable size, comfortable with attractive bamboo furnishing and well insulated for noise. Food was exceptionally good - a really wide choice of tasty dishes that were changing every day, the local fish being particularly delicious for me. Pancakes in the afternoon became an essential part of the daily routine. The waiters and staff in general are so friendly and helpful, I could not fault them in any way. In fact, the friendly atmosphere at Laguna Beach is one of their strongest assets, as is the local rum! All the drinks you get on the All Inclusive are very good quality, including the cocktails - I couldn't get enough of the Daiquiris. There are a few evening entertainments run by the excellent Kevin,  like a local dance troupe and a very fun karaoke, but this isn't on a daily basis, so isn't too much. Water sports are available and I recommend the views from the parasailing. We did lots of trips from Laguna Beach all over the island and found it to be an excellent base for exploration. I particularly recommend doing a catamaran trip on the West coast - this was idyllic, we got to see dolphins and a family of ***** whales!  A guided tour around the tiny eco island of Ile Aux Aigrettes is a must - I won't forget the giant turtles ... Mauritius is also a hiker's paradise and this is something I wish I had more time for. The scenery and views from Black River Gorges National Park is something special. I do recommend hiring taxi drivers for a day or half day instead of driving yourself - best have someone who knows where all the bad road surfaces are and traffic in some areas can be a bit hectic at rush hours. Some of the drivers have excellent local and historical knowledge, and can act as your guide, not just a driver. There are a few things to be aware of when considering a stay here. It's on the more remote South East side of the island. If you want tourist shops, bars and nightlife then head to the North - this resort is more about peace and quiet. Saying that there is a constant soundtrack of music in the pool / bar area that I could have done without in the daytime, or just turn the volume down a bit.  Being on the East it can get windy, especially in the evening but this was rarely an issue for us.  If you want your hotel to have an amazing beach you should consider an alternative - the section of the beach cordoned off here is very small and everyone used the lovely infinity pool instead.

It was already 8 o'clock in the evening when I arrived in Mauritius. After I finished the formalities, I could see the shuttle at the airport. It took about 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The hotel was clean and soundproof. We were the second. Tianbao had a day trip and walked very early without experiencing the hotel's breakfast and other facilities. It is a good airport transition option.

I chose the four seasons because I believe that the four seasons are consistently high quality, very good environment and location, the staff take care of my feelings, except for one, I will elaborate below. But my only regret is that because I booked a hotel car to go to the airport, a staff member at the airport accompanied me to check-in, but when I said that due to the current situation, I would usually take the initiative to take care of the feelings of others When maintaining a greater distance from other people in public places, the female staff member said that she understood, not only without confirmation, that maybe my Emirates flight to Shanghai might stop Fei, and she has always ignored me. Instead, she chatted with the two European guests who lined up in front of me, as if she was accompanying them to check-in, and did not take care of my feelings at all. If the staff member does not agree that her work requires close contact with guests from areas with various conditions, then she can choose other jobs that do not require this. I had the sheer pleasure of staying at the Constance Belle Mare Plage for 10 days in April with my now-fiancée, an experience that exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, the tranquil paradise of Mauritius embraced us, matched only by the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by the hotel staff. The central figure orchestrating our memorable stay was Adasha, who is truly the embodiment of hospitality. Whether it was our daily breakfast service, ensuring our comfort throughout the day, or even arranging an incredibly romantic proposal setup, she attended to every detail with remarkable diligence and warmth. Her dedication and care made her not just a wonderful hostess but a cherished part of our experience. We rate her an emphatic 10+/10. Equally remarkable was Kailash. With his innate knack for arranging romantic breakfasts and dinners in our room, his charismatic presence as he drove us around the resort in his buggy, and his assertiveness that ensured all our needs were met, he was instrumental in making our holiday complete. His personable demeanor is a true credit to the hotel. Our appreciation extends to the room service team as well. Koomar, Veenaye, Joanne, Tarvesh, Nitesh, and Sanjeev all contributed to facilitating a seamless and unforgettable experience. Their collective attention to detail, promptness, and friendly demeanor were remarkable. However, the standout personality and the heart of the Constance Belle Mare Plage was Kris. You will find him on the beach, armed with an unbeatable selection of cocktail recommendations. His mixology skills are top-notch, and his engaging conversations coupled with a fantastic sense of humor made our beach days exceptionally memorable. Kris was not only an employee of the hotel but became a friend who enriched our stay. In summary, our experience at the Constance Belle Mare Plage was truly magical, fueled by the unwavering dedication of its staff, the beauty of its surroundings, and the exceptional level of service that made us feel like royalty. We have created unforgettable memories here, and we can’t wait to return next year. If you’re considering a trip to Mauritius, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The location of the hotel is average, although there is no beach at the beach, the only thing is very secluded. The yard where the hotel is located is very large and there are many houses for short and medium term rental. Hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is a bit special, the hotel lobby is not big, the bird cage inside is feeding a few birds. The service is OK. If you have dinner, there are two restaurants, one bar to choose from, and one that is open to Asian restaurants opened by Malaysians. The price of the local restaurant below is acceptable. The hotel's WIFI is very poor and often does not receive signals in the rooms.

This time I stayed at the two hotels of Lishi Mona and Lishi Mei'an. The style is still quite different. The sand of Mona is yellowish and very slightly. The sand on the Mei'an is slightly whiter and thinner. Be careful. The walk is still acceptable; the rooms are larger and more modern; the sea view is better for Mount Mona. Sitting in the seaside is very eye-catching. After a day, the hotel is too lazy to move. If you are chasing dolphins, it is also near the Mount Mona. The pool and meals are not as good as the US shore.
