It is quite close to Mt. Hutt. The room is on the second floor. There is a bar on the first floor, which is very convenient for eating. However, because of the bar, there will be some noise at night, but it will not have much impact.

Definitely bang for your buck. Large room, warm. Adequate kitchenette for simple meal prep. Walk across the road to catch the Mt Hutt bus.

After a long day’s travel from Wellington/Picton this was a great welcome for us to Methven. We enjoyed our meals, and the warm and friendly service received. The historic feel along with horse theme made it unique from other places we tried.
