It's one of those "not too pricey" hotel near SFO airport but definitely the best value for money pick. The place is not congested with many good food choices nearby. The room is tip-top clean and service is very personal. They have a very cosy lobby at level 2 with ceiling glass roof and that's really cool.

There isn't anything unique about this hotel that would convince me to rebook. I got a quiet room on the 8th floor, and there wasn't much of a view--(the roofs of adjacent apartments, and skyscrapers). The room was merely adequate. The 2 biggest disappointments, 1) no power source nor USB outlets on the night stands. 2) no cups/glasses when one has to brush their teeth with bottled water. The reason City Express didn't get 2 stars is because of their fantastic location--right across the street from the Angel of Independence monument. There's a lot of nearby eateries. Lastly, avoid the hotel's breakfast. There's the grossly overpriced hot meal with only 5 selections for 320 pesos. Then, there's the continental breakfast which was equally as pathetic. There's a Starbucks a few doors down.

I was extremely happy with my choice to stay at the City Express Plus Reforma El Angel. This is a budget friendly hotel situated along the Avenida Reforma, between higher priced hotels like the St. Regis and Sofitel. Location, location, location. You're about a 30-minute walk to the Museum of Anthropology (must visit) and the Castle Chapultepec (go see the mural La Fusion de Dos Culturas at the Castle). Wander off the Avenida to enjoy neighbourhood restaurants. If you'd prefer to take transit, the Metrobus passes just outside your door (the bus doesn't accept cash, so get a pass at the airport or a metro station). I was on the 7th floor in an 05 unit with a beautiful view of the Angel Statue on Reforma. Despite the activity along the Avenida, I slept well. I think being up higher countered any street noise. Mattress was firm. Breakfast was included (might be different depending on the room rate). I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful – especially the sweet housekeeper who kept my room tidy. It's not a perfect hotel, but if you're looking for that stay at the St. Regis for $1000/night (without the view of the Angel Statue). I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the City Express Reforma El Angel again. Hasta pronto!

Excellent location, the only downsize was breakfast, continental breakfast very basic, other hotels in the same price range have better menu for breakfast and for a family of 5 it really makes a difference, but this make us wonder around the hotel on walking distance to find good places to have a very good breakfast under the price offer in the hotel.

Bonvoy titanium here, did not use points, not a holiday here and was given the room with the headboard up against the elevator shaft. Btw it’s rooms ending in 08. Your continental breakfast is until 9am promptly and consists of bread, cereal, yogurt and fruit. Rooms are tiny and bed is quite hard. Wasnt expecting the st Regis here but thought they may at least have upgraded me. The front desk manager and staff acted like they didn’t know what bonvoy was and maybe they don’t . If you are into bare minimum and aren’t a bonvoy member this this hotel might just be for you, otherwise avoid.

I arrived very late from my flight and as they do not have the options to Checkin on their app, my reservation was cancelled . The person at reception was very quick however to reinstate it and gave me a room on the 10th floor, with a back view. The room was extremely small and not very clean. I did not say anything at the time because I was very tired and it was very late. The shower had a very old musty cloth curtain, you rarely see those nowadays. I go to México city a lot and somehow I thought this was a new hotel and was disappointed. Breakfast is very basic and only continental. The price was quite high for the quality you get. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is due to its location.

I gave me a double suite room instead of the simple room I had booked, because mine was not available when I got there. I really liked it! I like the idea of finding all the items we need in a room when we travel

I stayed at the City Express Plus because it's basically right across the street on Reforma as the U.S. Embassy! There are more established hotel names right there as well, and they charge an impressive amount to do that. I stayed for one weekday night, and I thought it was a very good deal, and location for pretty much anything in the Central area. I drove in so they valet'd my car when I arrived. They have a pretty strict 3pm check in, since the check out is 1pm. Which I also liked. I rented room 1110, which was a suite. It was a great simple suite w/a full kitchen! That I hadn't seen in the amenities section. What ever...the only thing you should be aware of is the bedroom's back wall is in front of the elevator shaft. During the day, there's more use than later in the evening. I slept fine, but I do that. If you're a light sleeper, you might inquire about a room not ending in 10. It is a quiet location. They have a full restaurant w.a daily buffet that looked good. Only saw, not partake. Clean, well taken care of, and no charge for the overnight car park. I tipped the guys of course, but that was it. I'd stay there again, and will. If I was profiling their market, I would say mid upper class X generation working in high tech, electronics, some a little older like me. An Ice machine was on 11, and unnoticeable is it's presence.. .

B-A-D!!! NEVER again will I stay or recommend this hotel to anyone! I’ve never felt so compelled to write a BAD review. We were a large group with kids who reserved months in advance. Called to arrange transportation to/from airport but never received confirmation. Called again 2 days prior to arrival to confirm transportation, price and time of arrival. They wouldn’t provide anything in writing to confirm transportation just want you to rely on hopes and dreams they would show. On day of arrival WAITED more than an hour to get picked up. Then driver tried to CHARGE MORE THAN QUOTED until I pushed back. When we arrived at hotel some in our group were told their reservations were CANCELLED and there were no rooms available. It was a busy weekend and other hotels had no availability. Front desk person did nothing to apologize or try to resolve issue. BASICALLY NO ACCOUNTABILITY JUST BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Some who had room cancelled finding out now that their cards were indeed CHARGED for hold prior to arrival. Rooms SMELLED musty, DIRTY carpets, POOR water pressure, half hanging curtains, and BAD electrical outlets. This place is a JOKE from the front desk to the rooms. The only positive they have going for them is location. Do yourself a favor and stay away! RUN the other way!

Encountered too many issues to give this average hotel 3*: mediocre breakfast (the first hotel I’ve stayed in that does not have eggs for breakfast), beds are very firm (I prefer softer), housekeeping forgot to put water in the room so had to get it from the reception, staff hardly speaks English and it took them 20 mins to print my bill at checkout (first bill was wrong, needed 2 trials). Rooms are very noisy but the ones next to the elevators shafts (I had) are to be avoided. Positive was the fast and stable internet, location and check out time till 1pm. For $140 per night this hotel is too expensive, no value for money. Would not stay again.

Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in in a while. Not all staff speak great English, the breakfast is truly terrible, water pressure in the bathrooms is awful, the place is noisy and the rooms are pretty basic.
Response from Property: Good afternoon Mr, We are sorry about the inconvinience you had in your stay with us. We are continue working in all the points you already said to improve the service. Regards
