I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January 2022. The hotel is in a nice area close to shops, cafes, restaurants, street food, convenience stores, and a Sumesa grocery store. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, and another one adjacent to it on the other side; it is only open from 7AM -2PM. I walked to Paseo de la Reforma and Centro Historico, or if you're not a walker, Ubers are readily available. My room was large, and divided into three parts; bedroom; dressing room with clothing rack, full-length mirror, and sink; and bathroom with a large shower. The water was hot, and had good pressure. The bed was comfortable, and there was an outlet near the headboard so I could easily charge my electronics. Wifi was excellent. The room, including the dressing room, was very dim. There were no bedside lamps, just a light attached to the wall above the bed, and a small lamp hanging over the TV. There was a large picture window in the room, which helped with lighting, but I didn't open the curtains completely for privacy reasons. My room faced the street, but I heard very little street noise. Likewise, I did not hear noise from adjacent rooms or other guests, either. The biggest drawback to my stay was how cold the rooms were, almost inexplicably so. During the day the outside temp was in the low to mid-70's F (~23-24 C), but the room felt like it was about 60 degrees (16 C) or less. At night the room temperature felt like it was near-freezing. I got an extra blanket, which helped a little, but not enough. As large as the room is, it could easily accommodate a mini-fridge, but there wasn't one. There was no coffee maker, tea kettle, or microwave either, and none available in the lobby. The room prices for this hotel fluctuate a lot, and are much pricier if you book on short notice. I only paid $27 USD total per night, including tax, but I have seen instances where it was double that. I think the room was a good bargain for the price I paid, but not if you pay much more than that. If you don't mind cold rooms, and can get a room at a reasonable price, then I recommend staying here. Unfortunately, the icy rooms were a deal breaker for me, and I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed here for quite a long while unfortunately, so I have a pretty good grasp on how this hotel runs. And I wouldn't return unless big changes are made. PROS: --price --breakfast included --pets allowed --lobby decor was cool CONS: --wifi doesn't work for more than a few minutes here and there --water takes almost 10 minutes to get warm --shower only has 1/2 door and gets water all over bathroom floor --all of the wooden trim along base of walls was off or falling off --stains on the new towels --supposed to get 2 waters/day, usually didn't happen --had to ask for more toilet paper --they don't like to clean your room some days and never clean it at the same time --room was hard to breathe in after they did ”clean” because they spray your bedding with harsh chemicals every time so it ”smells clean” --takes forever to be served at breakfast (only one employee) and always got things we never asked for or never received at least one thing we did ask for --top blanket on bed worn and had rough patches --no outside food/drinks are allowed even though the options and service within the hotel for dining isn't good --our travel-sized lotion in the bathroom was used and 1/2 gone already --walls are thin, easy to hear rooms next to you --rude if you ask for room to be cleaned, for new towels, etc. --no room service or laundry service options *not a con, but a tip: you need pesos daily so you can tip the server at breakfast as it's expected since it's not a buffet-style breakfast

If you are looking for beauty of the old kind, a pleasant stay and a great location. This is the place to go. Although the room we used was small, it was practical and the decoration and lighting extraordinaire. The wedding party Saturday night did not keep us awake, although it could be heard. The service by Mr. Ramón Cobos is commendable. He went out of his way to move out bags in and out of storage as many times as it was needed. Breakfast in the premises are not recommended. Fortunately, there are many great places to eat within a 15 minute walk. We arrived past midnight, the door was opened promptly, before we dispatched the Uber service, and the registration was a breeze. So was check out. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Well, I have always said you read many comments on this or other tourist pages and one should believe a part because those we write here are not used to the same quality of hotel or travel, However, I must admit that when reading all these comments I was very afraid to go into the hotel about what I was going to find in the rooms... I am a travel agent from COSTA RICA and since last year (2021) have negotiated a group that would enter from 14 to 18 January 2022, the truth is that Carlos Ponce that is the Manager is a super attentive person, kind, helped me at any time or returned me the call and asks you a welcome letter from the Agency for Our customers and a bottle of wine, because I like to differentiate our services, all as we talk about Carlos and I. The room was clean, the pans changed them every day if they want, they make the bed also means every day it was clean in our case Marta made it... I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel PF. Our flight landed in CDMX early and I thought we wouldn't be able to check in until 3pm, but thankfully our room was ready when we arrived at around 10am. Check-in was a breeze; the staff was friendly and helpful and there was always someone working that spoke English. The room was tidy and had a great view of the city. It had an iron/ ironing board, safe, hair dryer, and coffee maker, along with a couple bottles of water (but no fridge). There was no tub, but the shower was nice and big with plenty of hot water. There are only two small elevators and unfortunately one of them was out of service the whole time we were there, which was a little inconvenient but we never had to wait too long for one. The hotel has a restaurant that's open until 11pm but we didn't eat there, as there were so many options nearby. We did take advantage of 24 hour room service though, which offered a variety of different things and arrived very quickly after ordering. I recommend the elote soup! The best part about this hotel is the location; it is close to tons of restaurants and shopping. There are multiple pharmacies, banks and convenience marts within walking distance, and the subway station is only a 5 minute walk. It was a short and easy walk to Chapultepec as well. As others have stated in their reviews, the walls here are pretty thin so there was some noise from other guests and housekeeping, as well as from the street, but it didn't bother me that much. I was exhausted at the end of each day, so slept pretty soundly. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Hotel PF and would stay here again. The price and location can't be beat.

I booked a night at this hotel for a long layover in CDMX. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews and hotel room photos, I was expecting nice renovated rooms. Unfortunately this is a very dated hotel with very cheap renovations done on it. My room had no hot water until maintenance came and turned it on. The bathroom sink tap was loose and falling off. The hotel is well located. The staff is friendly, but the renovations they have done are of low quality and do not match the photos.
