We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel during the warm October days of 2024. The main advantage of this hotel is undoubtedly the location: a 5-minute walk to the beautiful historic town centre, close to the bus station, and quietly situated. We could go on several hikes directly from this hotel, which was ideal. Unfortunately, we don't have much positive to say about the hotel itself, other than that our room was very spacious and had a small seating area. The overall impression we got from this hotel, is that it is dated, poorly maintained, and lacks atmosphere and coziness, especially in the breakfast area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed kindly, but everything was quite messy and somewhat chaotic. The lift turned out to be broken (this was communicated via a note in poor English). Based on other reviews, this was not the first time either. Not great for people with mobility issues, and not what you want after a long day of walking. The room itself was spacious and the beds were acceptable. Unfortunately, the WiFi did not work in the room and there was a sickly sweet smell coming from the bathroom. The breakfast was reasonably okay: an average selection of yogurt with cereals, rolls, and bread toppings. The atmosphere in the breakfast area was very poor though: a messy mix of 80s furniture with very dark corners. It would help if, for example, more light was placed near the walls. All in all, barely 3 stars, considering the not too high price of the room.
