Stella Della Marina

What a lovely small hotel. They location is perfect for seeing all the towns. The owner is very nice and extremely knowledgeable; very willing to give advice on nearby restaurants. The hotel was clean and well cared for. We stayed in room 11 which had a huge balcony overlooking the Ligorian Sea. The only downside was the church bells ringing at 0700 and then every 1/2 hour until evening. They were lovely when awake-but not good for sleeping in! In all fairness, another person in our party was in room 9 on the other side of the hotel and never heard the bells! We loved the place and highly recommend.

Why go elsewhere?!? This was our fifth time to Cinque Terre and fourth consecutive trip to stay in the charming town of Monterosso al Mare with the wonderful hotelier Gabriele at his Hotel Stella della Marina--magnificent! Each time we have used this stop as a chance to get over any jet lag, exhale, and relax as we shift into Italy holiday mode. We so look forward to being welcomed again each time by the amazing Gabriele who takes absolutely outstanding care of us with his gracious, comforting service--and he has done so consistently from our very first visit! Even after these terrific visits, his focus on his hotel customers still exceeds our expectations! Among other things, we enjoy how he provides local information and traveler tips to us, graciously and warmly serves us breakfast each morning, and hustles constantly while still allowing us to go at our own pace. And the hotel is wonderfully clean, well appointed, and functional for all guests. We are so grateful to be able to repeat these experiences with Gabriele and his staff and look forward to doing it again hopefully soon. Grazie, Gabriele!!

Fantastic. Gabriele was knowledgeable and helpful for the week up to, and during our visit. The location was perfect and the accomodations were great. Breakfast was included and a great was to start our day before hiking to Vernazza. We loved our time at Hotel Stella della Marina.

The hotel was the perfect place to stay while exploring Cinque Terre. Our room was comfortable and clean and had a small balcony overlooking the old town of Monterosso. What made our stay even more enjoyable, was the assistance and recommendations we received from the hotels owner, Gabrielle. He made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend the hotel.

This small but charming hotel is wonderful! It was our favorite hotel during our 3 week trip throughout Italy. The room had a private rooftop terrace and the manager was so attentive. We had a very early departure and the evening before, he made us a breakfast snack tray so we would have something to eat. To our surprise, he was awake the next morning waiting for us! He insisted we have a coffee “for energy” on our trip! Wonderful experience!

My wife & I stayed at Hotel Stella della Marina in late Aug/early Sept 2024. Gabrielle was the most gracious host with extensive local knowledge. He gave us outstanding recommendations for dining, nightlife and local activities. The room was immaculate and included beach towels-which we didn't think to bring with us. The breakfast was fresh daily and the dining patio had fantastic views of the old town and sea. Would definitely make a return visit!
