We stayed for a sister's one night stay.
The location is strategic, you will be as close as possible to the castle in the Chambord area, parking is reserved for you.
At the start, very bad impression: we came across a receptionist who barely knew how to speak French, she started by telling us that our room was not ready (at almost 4 p.m.) without offering us an alternative and without giving us time to return to. She told us to go for a walk in the park while we waited, which wasn't insightful because we had just done a lot of driving and wanted to rest before going out to dinner, also not noticing that I was pregnant!
To top it off, she insisted on charging us for breakfast twice even though the deal we took included breakfast. We had to insist and she didn't even apologize for her mistake.
Fortunately, a colleague came to ''save the furniture'', offering to keep our luggage and offering us a drink at the restaurant. We later learned that the first receptionist was an intern, which explained her lack of professionalism.
After this inconvenience, everything was for the best: we were able to take advantage of the SPA (remember to reserve your slot at reception), in particular the jacuzzi outside and the very pleasant relaxation room.
The room was as I expected, quite spacious and bright, very clean and comfortable. The usual products are available: bathrobes, slippers, lotions, etc.
In the evening, we chose not to dine at the restaurant (it seems quite expensive and not incredible) but in a small bistro in the town next door, quite honest.
Big favorite for breakfast: there was a delicious homemade strawberry charlotte, drinks, pastries, salty and sweet as you like.
Little extra: they offer wire-cut tickets at reception which I recommend taking in order to avoid waiting in line to visit the castle.
In short, apart from the big failure at the beginning, we LOVED it!
I would have liked to stay there one more night!
