This is a seriously stylish hotel. Service is impeccable and it's everything you can expect from a 5* and more. Do not skip having a drink at the bar. The cocktails are great and remember to look up when you're there. It's a nice view :) I'm sorry I missed the chance to dine in-house. I'm told the food is excellent but there were just so many things to experience in Montpellier. I loved the indoor terrace where breakfast was served. Charming space. Rooms are good but heated oddly. The bathrooms, in particular, are freezing. We had a duplex and our bedroom was boiling. When we mentioned this to the staff, they were apologetic. The only way was to open the windows and switch everything off. Not an issue but we did get to hear the staff vacuuming and clearing up the tables etc if we got an early-ish night. I'm not a light sleeper so it didn't bother me. But it's something to keep in mind. Lighting is also a bit strange - quite dim and the motion-sensors at the staircase didn't work all too well which honestly is a hazard. I get being romantic and all but... maybe I'm just too practical? But I'm nitpicking. This is still a special hotel and it deserves to be experienced. Location is great, you're in the heart of the historic centre so you're within walking distance to everything but away from the chaos of the town centre. If you're driving into Montpellier, parking will be taken care of by the valets (they are fantastic - really fun characters and more importantly, helpful).
