We had high hopes for Aquasol, having researched all the options in Mosonmagyarovar and deciding this was the best fit and best-reviewed. We stayed two nights at the end of a cold January, and the outdoor room we were given (there are two at the back in a separate building) simply never got quite warm enough. The wall radiator heaters never worked (and we were told they were centrally controlled and couldn't be turned on individually) and so we relied on a ceiling-level air conditioner unit to blast hot air on us. After a few hours the temperature was tolerable, but the unit was loud and disturbing. Breakfast was also so-so. We have stayed in many Hungarian resorts (especially thermal hotels) and the options for breakfast here were limited by comparison. No gluten-free bread offered, and choices for vegetarians very restricted...and at the peak times there were not even enough tables in the small dining room. While the hotel's setting is lovely and quiet, and the staff are very pleasant, the final issue we had was being asked to pay for parking. It's not about the money, it's the principle: as guests staying in one of the city's most expensive hotels, parking at the side of the building (no cover) should be complimentary, as it has been in every other Hungarian resort we've stayed in. The adjoining Flexum baths (unlimited complimentary access) are wonderful - and we spent many happy hours in there during our stay (and it was the only place we could feel truly warm to the core!). My advice, however, would be to get your own day tickets to the Flexum Spa and find somewhere else to stay that offers better value and warmer rooms than Aquasol.
