Leider war das Zimmer am schimmeln und es roch nach Feuchtigkeit. Auch bei der Sauberkeit war gut Luft nach oben. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls nicht wirklich auswahlreich. Das meiste war bereits kalt, was warm sein sollte.

I’ll be honest, when I read the reviews of this hotel prior to arrival – I was worried. However, having just checked out, they are not fair. I’m not sure if the hotel is under new management, but we had an excellent stay. The hotel is clean (credit to the housekeeping team), rooms are clean, with international plugs, and the view of the sea is unparalleled. We slept with the door to the balcony open to hear the sound of the sea crashing against the rocks. The room includes a fridge, which had fresh milk in it - ready for those that want a cup of tea. I’d definitely stay again.

During my Business trip, of enduring tiresome & arduous travels through many suburbs from Western Cape to George, I was rather unwelcomed as a man at the reception desk of The Point Hotel & Spa regarded my online *********** as a total error. He said that the online Booking erroneously allocated a room that was initially allocated for the Chef on duty. I politely withdrew myself due to my exhaustion. I cannot understand why I am receiving a gratitude auto-response email as well as another request for me to review your hosting. A Letter of Apology for the inconvenience at the last hour on a business day, would have been more appropriate.

What a wonderful experience it was to have a room only meters from the sea crashing onto the rocks below and waking up to a group of people having a swim in the largest rock pool in Africa.

Mix bag of WOW and not so great
The view is great and staff friendly and helpfull. Sheldon is the Jack of all trades and a very nice man, from breakfast, barman and helping to with luggage. A real asset to the Hotel.
The parking is an issue and you cant leave anything in the car.
Spectacular views.
A good derp cleaning will do wonders though. Some maintenance as well. Sliding door struggling to close and lock, and half remove fitting in the shower.
Nice breakfast with great views, but not using a great balcony option?

Nice hotel in superb location
Nice hotel but a little tired and in need of some refurbishment but the view made up for everything
