We stayed at Ikos Oceania from 12 - 18 October, and had the most wonderful holiday. As everyone has said before, the staff are amazing and can't do enough for you, and are happy and welcoming. You are so well looked after, and its genuine kindness and care, it doesn't feel corporate, but like a small, family run hotel. I have coeliac disease and I can say hand on heart I have never been better looked after anywhere. I told the hotel in advance of going that I had coeliac disease, just to be on the safe side. I'd looked online and saw that the menus marked GF items, so I thought I'd be ok, but once I arrived they had set up a meeting with Thekla from the food and beverage team and she talked me through all the precautions the team would take and preparing things separately etc. It was clear that she and all the staff understood my condition and cross contamination really well, and I just felt so safe from the very beginning. Thekla gave me her number and then each day she said to WhatsApp her which restaurants I was going to that day and she would send me the menu, then I could make my choices and she would pre order for me and make sure the chefs and the team knew what I needed. I had so much choice in each restaurant, and it was lovely because when I arrived and gave our room number, the person greeting us knew I had a pre order and they just made me feel so safe from that point on. Anyone who has an allergy or autoimmune disease, particularly one where cross contamination is an issue will know how nerve wracking it can be to eat out. It was such a treat to feel relaxed and safe, with minimal fuss. Thekla even arranged for cake and biscuits that I could have to be delivered to our room. I could not have been better taken care of, and am so grateful to everyone for their kindness. Its worth mentioning that sometimes the list Thekla gave me was slightly different to what was on the menu in the restaurant - I think some of the GF items on the menu might have been "may contain" or "traces", and I'm not sure any fries/potatoes were cooked separately in different oil etc, you would have had to request that (which was never a problem), so its worth checking if you are coeliac or very sensitive just to be on the safe side. If you have an allergy/autoimmune condition, I would definitely mention this because they completely know what to do. We were upgraded to a deluxe room on the last couple of days because they had one free - which was a very unexpected, amazing treat. We were in the most basic room at first, which was still really lovely, but the deluxe room was bigger, with a sofa and separate bath and shower, and the some lovely treats included such as a complimentary massage and some champagne in the room. I can honestly say, whilst this was a lovely experience, and if money was no object I'd book deluxe again, our normal room was extremely clean, comfortable and still felt very luxury - similar decor and layout and still all the lovely toi
