This gorgeous property is located within a hop skip and a jump of all the fun stuff to do in downtown Murphys. The accommodations are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the lobby and dining area make you feel as though you are staying with family. The staff is absolutely the best and the breakfasts are prepared to perfection. This little sanctuary is an absolute gem. I will go back again and again.

My wife and I just spent a week at the Dunbar and had a lovely time. The accommodations were exceptional and Sarah and Marie took great care of us! We love Murphys and look forward to our next stay there. The 1880 home has a great feel and transports you to older time in the northern California gold rush era.

Great place.
Wonderful building. The room was better than expected. The balcony was lovely. There is a terrific dining room and a library with a fireplace in the winter. Lots of cool books to browse through. We had a delicious breakfast on the porch the wondered around the gardens. Great place for weddings and other gatherings. The town of Murphy's was a delight. All the action is just a few doors down.

Lovely property, quiet easy 3 block walk into the old goldmining town. We arrived in the evening, exquisite taste and comfortable place to land. In the morning breakfast was amazing, thanks Sarah. The rooms are lovely, but watch out, the upstairs attic room has low ceilings and not for older folks who cant climb a ladder. but otherwise, truly a destination.

Enjoyed a nice two night stay at the Dunbar House. The room was comfortably appointed and amenities were perfect, Breakfasts were relaxed and the chef was very friendly. A very nice place to stay if you want the convenience of being able to stroll in downtown Murphy’s and walk to restaurants.
