Overall it was ok. Pros, good location, the staff are friendly and the room is decent. Cons, the reception is inefficient and check in takes longer than it should. It’s like we are first customer that has ever checked in. Lots of confusion. My ac did not work. I had to call 3 times to reception before someone turned up. They said the ac does not work here. Did not bother to check anything because it seem normal for the ac not to work. I told him it’s very hot in this room and I can’t sleep. Also ac is basic especially if you are calling yourself a 5 star hotel. He shrugged and said I can get you a fan. Got very little sleep and I think they don’t service the ac to save on electricity. It’s a poor attitude from the management especially for a “5 Star” hotel. It’s more like a 3 star. Better places to go for the same price. Will not return.

This review is a little late, but I still have to praise the Nairobi Marriott Hotel! ! ! Because the JW Hotel in Nairobi made me fall in love with this city! ! ! This review is not exaggerated. As a person who stays in a hotel 200 days a year, I still have a little experience in staying in a hotel. First of all, I have traveled to most of Africa and stepped on countless pitfalls. The overall accommodation experience in Africa is indeed a bit sour 😜. JW is definitely cost-effective in Africa! Although Africa is not short of old luxury hotels (the prices are also eye-popping 🤐). But JW can definitely be called a new star in high-end hotels in Africa. The hotel building is a Gemini glass curtain wall with a modern architectural style. It is also a new landmark in Nairobi now (and we can proudly say that this hotel was built by our Chinese company)! ! ! 😁😁😁 The decoration and hardware maintain JW's consistent high standards and high taste, while also incorporating African style. The gifts with African characteristics in the handicraft sales area are also sold at a conscience price. It is said that they are carefully selected by big names in various African countries, and the price is very affordable. If you want to buy handicrafts and gifts, it is recommended to choose from JW first. I really feel that I am wasting time after visiting N legendary handicraft markets and flea markets. They are completely incomparable to JW. The most important thing is that the goods are genuine and you don’t have to worry about buying expensive or fake goods! ! ! (I always suspect that JW is worried that its guests will be cheated, so it specially helps guests to screen so many good things in advance), because the price is really touching, and I thought I heard it wrong several times, because it is cheaper than the market! ! ! The breakfast is very international and can basically meet the different tastes of guests from all over the world. It is recommended to go early, because there are really too many types, and you can’t taste them in a short time... 😅😅😅. There are several specialty restaurants from different countries for dinner, American steakhouse, Asian fusion cuisine, the dishes are excellent, and the decoration design is also very innovative! I really love the spa and the traditional Kenyan tendon massage opposite the hotel. I still can't leave after three consecutive massages... I strongly recommend to experience it. It's a rare relaxation during the journey. After the massage, you can definitely be fully revived! ! ! The Golden Key helped us customize the perfect travel route. We could have gone to Masai Mara to chase the Big Five of Africa and gallop across the vast African savannah... (childhood dream) Unfortunately, we caught up with the once-in-a-century flood in Kenya, so we didn't get on JW's handsome mecha tank 😂😂😂. Because the hotel has just opened, the linens are all new and the mattresses are very comfortable. The coffee downstairs is Kenyan coffee. After drinking it, I feel that the so-called Kenyan coffee I drank before is all made of beans? It is full of floral and fruity aroma, and it doesn't taste like coffee. Desserts must be eaten! ! ! Exquisite and delicious! Finally, a big surprise: Jacky, the manager of this hotel, is Chinese! ! ! Check in or need any assistance, just find Jacky!!! Don't be shy to find him, Jacky is so reliable and professional!!! He has super professional knowledge of hotels, there is no question that can be asked, and he actually knows all the well-known companies and brands in all industries!!! It is common sense that Marriott's hotel training system is well done, but the knowledge capacity of senior management is too terrible!!! If you are interested in the hotel industry, you must find this great god to chat when you have the chance! A rare learning opportunity!!! It's a pity that I forgot to take more photos of the hotel interior, and only took some photos of the breakfast restaurant, so it may not reflect the excellence of JW. The staff in this beautiful hotel is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The ambience is very tropical- relaxed and casual. The walls are adorned with African textiles, traditional implements, weapons etc. Rooms are luxurious and all the public areas are comfortable and tastefully presented. There is a large pool, excellent gym (I’m told), and the massages are well worth it. A jewel in a large busy city

There are no luggage trolleys, which make it very difficult to take luggage up to your apartment. The concierges are very helpful and the security personal are polite and helpful too. Our apartment was very nice. Clean, bright and comfortable. The views arw amazing,ing from the balcony. We were very disappointed as our main reason for choosing Sky Nest was their facilities. Their pool has been out of commission for over a week, and we never recieved any solid information as to when it would be repaired. We could not make full use of the gym either. Their tread mills are not running smoothly, they are jerky and dangerous. The convenience shop on the ground floor is extremely useful. They sell everyday basics from water, soap, shampoo, condiments, wines and spirits and more. The restaurant, Slate, is okay. We did mot enjoy our dishes. The staff are very professional, courteous and friendly. The management truly needs to be on top of everything, to make sure that everything is in top working condition. It has been very disappointing in that respect.

Went for the Safari Sunday Brunch. Great hangout for the family, the food was awesome and the service exemplary. Open buffet with a wide choice of dishes from midday to about 5pm and they had a great band playing the whole time. Will definitely be going back.

The breakfast buffet had an excellent array of choices and everything on offer was enjoyable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The security process and security doors and card access only areas seemed a bit over the top but we did indeed feel secure. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve dinner on the top floor of the hotel. It was a memorable experience. My only complaint is that though I had the air conditioning on and temperature set to cool the room a bit, the unit was running during our two day stay and never cooled the room or reached the temperature chosen. Also the in room phone did not work. I did request a maintenance person come to check on both f these issues and no one ever came. The bed was very comfortable and the modern style of the room was nice.

The hotel is a Chinese hotel, especially clean, breakfast is very rich, the waiters and service attitude here are very good, the things in the hotel are very safe, the hotel also has a car to go out to play can be reserved

On the day I arrived - they seemed to have been facing electrical problems for past week. So lifts, doors, and electricity in rooms were not working properly. It appeared to have been resolved on the day I left. I booked because of closeness to airport and train station. They offer complimentary pick up and drop off. They were very nice to offer a late checkout until I left for the airport. Has a big gym, a nice pool and pretty good breakfast. Be aware that there is literally nothing around the hotel - so you can’t really go for a walk or just go grab something to eat.
