In Xitou Forest, it is only ranked first, not second. This time I stayed in the university building. The building is located closest to the driveway exit. The building is divided into four buildings abcd. They all have two floors and no elevators. However, they have stairs and ramps. If you have too much or heavy luggage or have difficulty moving, you can still go directly. It's not too inconvenient to drive up to the top to load and unload luggage. We stayed in the innermost room in Building B this time. There was no noise and we couldn't hear the noise from next door. There was just the hum of the engine outside the air conditioner outside the window. You can still hear a little bit even if the windows are closed, so those who care are advised to wear earplugs. The room has an extra large double bed and a regular double bed, a coffee table and two chairs, a TV, a clothes rack, a pantry and a refrigerator. The space is okay. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas, and the shower side is a bit narrow. I was a little embarrassed to use a bathtub and a chair to help my four-year-old son bathe. I had to be careful about hitting my head when turning around or holding the child. The items are all clean, tidy and practical. You can also borrow beds, bathtubs, chairs and stools. This season, it is very comfortable at night without air conditioning. The beds also come with electric blankets, which were preheated when we entered the room, but we didn't use them. So it was turned off. Breakfast is served at the Yunshan Building opposite until 9:30, and hotel guests can participate in free nightly guided tours.

If you live in a log cabin, you may get up early in the morning and meet cute and mischievous monkeys. You can also climb the mountain next to it and there are many beautiful butterflies. There are not many indoor parking spaces, so you can only park on the hiking trail next to it. The room was quite clean, except for a few small black bugs, a few small spiders hanging from the ceiling, and small mosquitoes that flew in because the windows were open. By the way, it taught the children an ecology lesson😑. The air conditioner is too loud, which affects sleep. The room window faces east, and you can just see the sunrise on the opposite mountain. The view of the lake is not bad, but it is a bit sunny. Breakfast has both Chinese and Western styles, the dishes are simple, and you can enjoy the lakeside view while dining. Hope the room cleaning can be improved. However, it is really a good deal to stay in a quadruple room with side lake view including breakfast for less than 3,000 during the holiday. If you have the chance, you can consider coming back next time.

The Weng Kiln Chicken ordered for dinner was super high-quality and not a surprise. The buffet breakfast was also great. The cat owner was cute everywhere. The environment was quiet and worth staying. The only thing I was confused about was that there was no socket at the dressing mirror. There was nowhere to plug in the hair dryer and I couldn't take photos. Mirror hair drying...! Overall it's good and worth staying.

The best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel. The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests. The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

I am 1/25 staying in the double room on 606 and smelled a very strong smell of smoke as soon as I entered it. It was like the smell of smoke in KTV.
