I am not a very critical person, read my almost 200 reviews, but this stay was really terrible. Although we had booked four nights, we asked for our money back after the first night and found a much nicer room elsewhere, even cheaper. This hotel is not worth the word boutique hotel. It is a youth hostel with the service of a youth hostel. I will not comment on the location, because that is ultimately your choice. But the rooms are just filthy and are hardly cleaned and certainly had no deep cleaning in between guests. From a dirty carpet under the bed, to a filthy shower in which you could not even shower because the water did not drain. Everything was hanging loose, exposed electrical wiring, curtains with red stains that looked like blood, room door that did not close and so on... The only good thing was the large soft bed. This filthiness continues into the general areas of the hotel and the area around the swimming pool. They should be stricter when handing out stars, because this is a one maybe two star youth hostel. Of which you will find hundreds in Bangkok when you go backpacking. Finally, I also want to address the owner directly, because barking at your staff is simply not done! Especially if you only have one employee. Employees are people and you should treat them with dignity. As a manager it's your duty to manage and that also includes providing a safe working environment where people can make mistakes. As a manager, it is your job to train employees, develop and support your employees, so that they grow and become better and better at what they do 1% every day. It is shameful how you treat people, in the presence of guests and other people.
