Weekend a Napoli

Just back from a wonderful 4 night stay at Week-end a Napoli. We are a family of 3 and stayed in the lovely, clean and very comfortable Junior suite. Located in the exclusive neighborhood of Vomero, Weekend in Napoli is more than just a great hotel. Patrizia and Paolo deliver a warm, personalized 'at home' experience that made us feel like we were visiting with family. Our 10 year old daughter was treated like a princess. Paulo even called her 'princess' throughout our stay, which she loved. Every morning at breakfast, she was given a special little homemade treat - it made her eyes light up. Our airport transfers, restaurant and tour bookings were all made easy with Patrizia and Paolo's attentive service and advice. Overall, a unique and memorable experience.

We spent four nights at this funky boutique hotel in the Vomero section of Naples. This hotel was originally a large house with a small courtyard and now has a few guest rooms and suites. It has some unique features. For example, we needed four keys to get into our room - one for the courtyard, one for the house, one for the hallway to our room and one for our room. There is no reception desk. Also, the room includes breakfast in one of several private breakfast rooms on the second floor. By the way, the breakfast buffets were excellent. Service provided by the hotel was excellent. Hotel provided airport pickup, made dinner reservations for us one night, and arranged for a couple of tours of nearby attractions. Hotel location in Naples is very good because it is close to restaurants, grocery stores and a large pedestrian mall with many stores and shops. Room was quiet and adequate. Unfortunately the hotel is in the heart of Naples. It was our first trip to Naples and I would not want to go there again. The city is dirty, noisy and run-down. Most roads are cobblestone and traffic is chaotic. Luckily we didn't have a car there. Many people there seemed stressed out and generally unfriendly. The hotel could also use a few minor upgrades. One of the electric outlets in our room was falling out of the wall. The room refrigerator didn't keep anything cold. And we were constantly battling mosquitoes in our room. Overall though, the hotel was very good and would recommend it for anyone who wants to experience Naples.

Overall we had a wonderful experience. Breakfast was on time and catered to our particular needs (Gluten-Free). The hosts were very responsive and they were able to accommodate a few last minute changes on our end. The rooms were large and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had a great experience and chose to extend our reservation since it was such a nice place and in a great area.

Easy to get in contact with the owners, very warm welcome. The area is perfect for walking around with lots of shops and cafes a few minutes away. A very good restaurant is two minutes away from the house, must visit! Rooms are available in different styles and prices. Safe and easy access. Only about 10 minutes to get to the airport.
