I have been to Naxos 5 times and 3 of those times we have stayed at Santa Katerina, the last time in 2021 during a travel break in the pandemic. The apartments are still as amazing as ever. We stayed in the penthouse this time, which we had stayed in before. It’s our favourite room though all the rooms are fabulous and Vangelis couldn’t be more helpful. Our apartment was very well equipped with everything you need for a two week stay. The location is perfect, an easy walk to the shops, bus stop, beach and town. Unlike our accommodation everything else in Naxos has changed a lot in three years. It is much busier, get an early beach bus if you can, as they are always packed. Even in mid September when it used to be quiet. When we got to the beach (Prokopios) on the first day, every single sun bed was taken even though some of them cost €40 a day. Restaurants are busy and the prices as with the rest of Europe have gone up. So having Santa Katerina to go home to makes it all good and despite the changes, Naxos is still one of the best Greek islands.
