Room was fine. We had no hot water for even one shower this morning. When I told the desk he said - yes I’ve heard that from several people around the hotel. He said it must be the number of people showering at the same time. I showered at 5:45am. He was going to tell maintenance but there was no real sense of urgency or apology.

The room was near the breakfast nook and the front desk, so I could hear voices from the front desk all night

The rooms are really spacious and great for 2 couples. I wasn't able to get into the pool that night as it seemed as there was a gymnastics convention happening the next day, so lots of kids in the pool. Full service breakfast with ample room in the dining area. The room has a nice desk which suited me well, as I had to work half day remotely prior to starting my weekend adventures.

Excellent breakfast. Young girl who worked in the breakfast area was very efficient and friendly. Bacon and sausage. That is rare these days.

The fire alarm continuously went off throughout the night starting at 1030pm until 6am. The flashing light for the fire alarm barley ever turned off. There was loud construction in the room above me that kept me awake throughout the night.

Jakob was the ultimate host at the Holiday Inn Express! He was kind, empathetic and made a challenging family emergency a lot less stressful. Literally – gave me hope for humanity since he was so kind! The rooms were clean, comfortable and so fantastic!

We found someone’s old used underwear on the floor of our room. The toilet seat was dirty, and the room was filled with construction dust from the construction happening in the rest of the hotel.
