Sandals South Coast All Inclusive - Couples Only

Our 2d time to SouthCoast and our 6th trip to a Sandals. Eleanors restaurant was great as were the pastry cafe, pools, hot tubs, pickleball courts, gym, grounds, beach and people. The breakfast food/coffee at Schooners was lukewarm at best. Our “reservation-only” Dinner there was unimpressive for 5 of 6 of us. And our lunch there was shocking when we were told we’d have to wait until it stopped raining to get our cooked food b/c it was raining and the servers couldn’t bring the food up the wet steps. Too dangerous so our food would sit and get cold. I understand safety but why aren’t the stairs covered or replaced by a ramp. Lunch pizzas at the Italian restaurant were undercooked & underwhelming. They seemed to focus on quantity to meet the lunch need but sacrificed taste quality. Neptunes fish dinner was bland & took forever. Returning guest dinner was bland too; filets were very thin! Lines at main pool & French pool bars were too long. Drink supplies at over-the-water bar were lacking which meant often going to second or third choice drink options. Not sure what happened since first visit. For the money, our expectations are & should be high for Sandals. May not be a third visit to Southcoast.

We stayed at sandals for our son’s wedding. The grounds and scenery are absolutely stunning. The one thing no one tells you is about the drive from the airport to the resort. It takes 2hours to go 40 miles. The most terrifying and crazy experience I have ever been through. If you go take an early flight in and a late flight out. You have to leave the resort 5 hours or more before boarding the plane. A few suggestions would be for room service to offer the different restaurants menus to be included not just basic burgers and nachos. More information about events happening would be nice for all of the buildings. More communication with each other on events that have been planned. We took a catamaran ride (highly recommend) but due to lack of clear communication it was postponed because of a piece of paper. The wedding was fantastic but the staff waited until the very last minute for setup causing a delay. Overall we had a great time. Doubtful that we will be back to south coast but we will visit Jamaica again one day!!

Sandals South Coast is a beautiful resort set aside from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay. Our time there was relaxing and the resort was not overcrowded. We tried every restaurant and all of the food was excellent. We highly recommend Neptunes (Casandra was an incredible server) and Eleanor's breakfast which requires no reservation (only for the dinner) was my wife's favorite. Giuseppe's antipasto bar was frequented to the point that the staff knew us by name. One of the shining stars of the resort was the ultra talented musicians that they employ. We were blessed to experience the live performances of a solo violinist, an impressive quintet with a lead saxophone that will blow your mind, a steel drum group that brings the Jamaican flair, and some absolute powerhouse singers (Abby was a favorite of ours). We opted for one of the Butler Elite suits. The room was amazing, with a balcony that had a soaking tub overlooking the ocean. The shower had 4 shower heads and was larger than the shower we have at home. With that said, our butlers Chris and Jodi were nothing short of phenomenal! Chris welcomed us from the moment we arrived with white gloves and took us on a tour prior to showing us our room. My wife and I loved how responsive and easy going Jodi and Chris were. We even put them through the ringer when we wanted an almost impossible reservation and Jodi was able to make it happen. Another highlight was when we mentioned that we were slightly disappointed that we missed out on the Jamaican food day due to exploring the YS Falls. Chris made sure that he personally made ox tails and cow foot soup for us at the resort the very next day for lunch. Sandals resorts are all beautiful in their own right. This location was a solid 90 minutes from Montego Bay which did make for a more relaxed vibe which we wanted. The only thing that I would change about the trip is that I would not pay the additional expense for private shuttle to and from the resort. The drivers were fantastic and loved that we dove into their culture, but the cost was too much to recommend. In conclusion, South Coast was charming. The staff was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was stellar. We hope to return in the next year or two.

Kevons workout was fantastic. He is very involved and kept everyone engaged. The rooms are fantastic and the drinks are amazing. The welcome party was fantastic. The staff is amazing. Definitely try the rum punch and I definitely suggest the BOB MARLEY frozen drink.

Great resort and the staff was very nice. The club staff stole the show and their ability to make us feel special and worked hard to fulfill our needs. The massage staff as great as well. They gave one of the best massages we’ve had in a while. We did a romantic dinner option and our waiter was fantastic. He even asked us how could he have improved his service, we told him, stay consistent because the service was great!

My wife and arrived on Thanksgiving Day for our vacation at the Sandals South Coast resort. We stayed in a Rondoval Suite in the "Smurf Village'. The suite large and very comfortable. It was a swim up suite and we had immediate access to a lagoon that connected all of the Rondoval Suites. It was very private. This suite came with a butler and we had the combo of Makare and Kim. Makare met us in the lobby, arranged for our bags to be delivered to our suite and then proceeded to give us a tour of resort on the way to our suite. Makare provided exceptional service and met our every need. As did Kim. We had reservations at multiple restaurants on site. We enjoyed all of them. Small menus but good variety. Every restaurant had a signature drink of the day and those were quite enjoyable. The beaches are nice and we spent a nice day in the covered shaded beach chairs, reserved by our butler. We also spent time at the main pool where a lot of activies go on throughout the day and they have a DJ and swim up bar. It's a fun place to socialize. I recommend having a sunset cocktail at Lattitudes Over the Water Bar. We went on a glass bottom boat to view the reef that sits out a few hundred yards from the beach. The guide was great and it was very informative. We took private transportation to and from the resort. The road is very rough with potholes and crazy drivers. It was kind of fun though. We absolutely loved Sandals South Coast and already rebooked. I highly recommend.
