Best Hotels near J & F Equipment LLC, Newark

After a long flight from the UK we arrived to check in and were greeted by very friendly reception staff who asked us all about our trip, where we were travelling to etc, so we explained we were at the start of a roadtrip. We asked if our room rate included breakfast, it didn't, but the very helpful Nate said he wanted our trip to get off to a good start and gave us a voucher for breakfast. Was a lovely gesture, very welcome and the next morning it set us up for the day - thanks Nate! The hotel itself was fine, the room perfectly adequate. Our only issue was the family across the corridor. I think there had been a problem with their room so they were in the hallway making such an amount of noise which carried on inside the room. I believe several complaints were made as it was as though there was a party going on. Security came up a couple of times and it eventually quietened down. Just not what we needed at 11pm onwards after a long flight, nor I'm sure did anyone else.

Was unable to get early check in even though requested a few months back when initially booked. But that’s ok, they had a convenient luggage hold. And checkin at the ready time was very smooth! Biggest issue with this specific location, they have over 40 floors of rooms and only 2 elevators. It took forever to catch one anytime coming back to the room.

The hotel is very clean and the people at the front desk are very nice they did a great job on getting me to my room . The rooms and hallway were very clean and the staff was very nice The only problem I had was the continental breakfast on the top floor They only have a little bit of fruit and stuff to serve nothing hot And they had no help only one girl chatting with somebody in the back room did not come out and serve anybody so do not get the continental breakfast it's a waste of money otherwise the hotel was great 👌

Long way to the shuttle bus point and waiting more than 30 minutes for the next pick up. Other than this inconveniences, everything is ok in the hotel.

Everything was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and huge. We really enjoyed the included breakfast. It was abundant and easily accessible. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Hotel was amazing, the front desk workers and managers were very nice! They gave us wonderful advice and directions around the city! Hotel is located in a very convenient spot every is walking distance.

We chose this hotel based on being an IHG and close to the Newark Airport. We tripped in to New York City daily and learned to use the hotel shuttle bus, a couple of trains, the subway as well as Uber and Lift. The staff at the airport were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for a night before taking an early morning flight. Clean room and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is about 10 mins. drive to and from the Liberty International Airport. Free hotel shuttle runs every 30mnts. from the hotel. The shuttle is shared with Home2 guests as well and drops you off at all terminals(A,B C...). You have to let the hotel front desk know what time you need the shuttle. Hotel offered grab and go breakfast bags if you have to leave early in the morning if the breakfast area is closed. Had a brilliant experience here. For such an affordable stay the quality was excellent, the room was lovely, clean and cosy and the services offered were great - kitchen, lounge, computer/library area and laundry room. They also have activities like movie nights which is such a great bonus. The staff were extremely kind - especially Yari - who helped my friend and I when we missed our bus. We really felt taken care of. The location is also great and well connected with a subway station a few minutes away and it felt safe walking home at night. I couldn't believe we found this place and that it was as good as it seemed, especially for NYC! I would highly recommend staying here. This hotel was one of the choices listed on a wedding invitation, but it sure was a disappointment. First of all, finding the hotel was not easy. There is a sign by the road, but then you have to navigate through a couple of parking lots to reach the building. Additional signs would have been helpful. There was a parking garage, but it looked sketchy so we parked outside. They advertise that they offer breakfast, but it consisted of a to-go paper bag sitting near the front desk with a Saran-wrapped bagel, a tube of cream cheese, a plastic knife and a small muffin (maybe a change made due to COVID?). There was a large urn of regular coffee available for help yourself service, but there was no decaf, no hot water, no tea bags or hot chocolate packets like many other hotels often offer. There were vending machines for snacks and drinks. Interesting that one of the snacks you could buy was microwavable popcorn, but our room had no microwave. We were under the impression that there was a restaurant on site, but it turned out to be a nightclub. Our room keycards did not always work, so we went down to the front desk multiple times to reprogram and/or get a new card. Thankfully, the room was pretty clean (although the corners of the bathroom were filthy). The toilet paper was a low-quality 2-ply. The toilet handle had to be jiggled to stop it from constantly running after each flush. The metal bathroom door had obviously been repaired in several places because the patches were a different color from the door. At least there were ample towels, tissues, and plenty of hot water. Not having carpet in the room was nice. The TV remote did not work so we had to wait for maintenance (turned out to be a manger, I think) to come with a replacement remote. The room had a refrigerator, but no coffee maker. There was an iron, but no ironing board. There was only a swivel desk chair (set up at the counter/desk) to sit in. We had to set the time on the nightstand room clock. At one point, we went to use the stairway and it was disgusting with trash so we avoided the stairs. We stayed 2 nights and Housekeeping did call us in the morning to check if we wanted them to clean our room, so that was a positive. The front desk staff person must have been new because his customer service skills were minimal at best. When we checked in, we had to ask him how to reach our room because he neglected to mention that there was even an elevator. At one point we asked for restaurant recommendations, but he was unable to provide any helpful suggestions. Luckily there were 2 computers available for use in the lobby, so we were able to get our information that way. After getting home, I noticed a charge on my credit card from the hotel that was then cancelled, and the correct charge was put on. I am glad they corrected it without me having to call them, but it is just one more thing that made our experience with this place, less than ideal. Very disappointing sta
