The Outlook Inn

Had some glitches at check in, but was given a lovely larger suite and everything was great from then on. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was personable and accommodating.

This Inn is amazing! The staff person, Serena is the best ever and oh the breakfasts I cannot say enough good things about them. The rooms are spotless. I stayed in room 8, which I think is the quietest & best location. The Inn has biscotti's available all the time, in addition to beverages and the best fruit filled water available always. The location is the best. Come out of hotel & turn left on Church Street & down 2 blocks to wharf or turn right & up 3 blocks to free trolley to all the mansions. The mattress was the only 1 I ever slept in that didn't hurt my back. I took a picture of the tag and emailed the hotel to check which of the 3 firmness levels it is so I can order the same one. Awaiting a reply from the Inn. You will not be disappointed if you book this gem! I am already booking for next year.

We had a wonderful stay. I was a little bit scared as our room was at street level but they have noise machine in each room and it help soothing the noise. The quality of the bed also helped to get a good night sleep. Parking is indeed free but not on the property. You can park onsite for 10mn to check in and drop your suitcase. Breakfast was amazing and the staff really friendly. Overall, a great experience.

Great as always

This inn is a renovated home, and the rooms have been updated with modern touches. The best part of this hotel is the observation deck on the third floor where you can take a drink or cup of coffee and gaze out at the waterfront of Newport. The inn is walkable to all the dining and shopping that Newport has to offer.

Lovely innkeeper, Maria, greeted us at the door and showed us to our room personally. Room was immaculately clean and quite large (rm #3). Fridge and coffeemaker in room. Included breakfast was lovely as well, fresh eggs to order arrived steaming to the table along with fruit and pancakes (even fresh flowers on table). View up on the 3rd floor (no elevator) was great, even better I'm sure in the warmer months when rooftop patio open. Everything so quaint and quintessential New England. Only things to keep in mind, there is a little road noise but the room even came with a white noise machine on the dresser! Our room was in the back of the inn, would not recommend staying in the rooms in front right by the road. And you also must consider the walk to the parking area which didn't bother us at all as you walk along the shops area so can browse on the way back (about 8 min walk and some uphill just to be aware). Would definitely stay again! Great location about a block and a half from main road of shopping and restaurants.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were very clean and updated, and the breakfast was delicious and very well presented. The innkeeper was available and very helpful throughout our stay. The check-in process was very easy. The location is in the middle of the town, walking distance to everything.

The outlook inn is really cute. Our room was comfortable with everything we could have needed but the walls were quite thin and we found it a bit loud. I was woken up at 6AM by noise on the street outside. The innkeeper made us feel uncomfortable too from the start. Otherwise, no issues. Probably wouldn’t return, but it was good for what it cost.
