We travel to Niagara Falls on a fairly regular basis and over the last few years the Doubletree has been our go to hotel – rooms are dated but a reasonable balance of price, location, parking. This trip was different – for reasons unknown check in took 35 minutes – I had a printed copy of the reservation but still the staff member repeatedly checked the computer, consulted with a colleague behind the scenes. At the 20minute mark I joked that maybe they were having difficulty finding us an upgrade and received a hostile “no chance” from the mystery person behind the scene. At 35 minutes the key was produced with no apology or explanation for the delay. Our next drama was entirely our own fault – ironed a pair of pants, hung them in the closet and forgot them. Called the next day and after several tries ended up talking to the housekeeping manager who was not in the slightest bit interested – claimed that her staff would not overlook something in the closet and would not take them – leaving the only option that we somehow made the story up! Not interested in having a staff person double check the room or look around to see if they were placed somewhere else. Tourists have returned in full force to Niagara Falls and prices have taken a significant jump while service in many places – particularly this hotel – has nosedived. We wont be back.

Based on the reviews, I requested renovated rooms on a higher level floor. We were booked into two adjoining rooms on the 8th floor (hotel has 10 floors). We did not pay extra for any kind of ”view” (other than perhaps the 10pm fireworks, not sure what else might have been viewable, however). The rooms were, in fact, recently renovated and were very nice: very spacious with sleek/modern furniture and an updated/modern bath. Beds were very comfortable. The only minor nit was the rooms could have used a 2nd mirror; there was just 1 mirror over the separate-from-shower/toilet-room sink, really only enough room for 1 person to use comfortably at a time. Housekeeping came once during our 4 night stay, which was about right. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Location was great - everything was very walkable from here, and yet it was not too close to be overly noisy/congested. We would stay here again!

Quick check in. Bed’s super comfy. Breakfast line’s nothing special but simply and enough for quick breakfast. Nothing empty in the line as the service keep refilling. But be careful with the WiFi. I didn’t sign up for extra. But after check out they send me the receive for extra charge for the WIFI. ITS VERY DISAPPOINTING.

This is quite simply a beautiful place to stay. This was our first time here, we've been at many Falls hotels before, and our first in a converted dairy building . Our room was spacious, clean and well designed. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. This is a smaller Inn so not at all like the chains that dot the Falls, much more intimate. Our main floor room had openable windows so plenty of fresh air, a big comfy bed, and great shower. It was very quiet especially considering we were only a few blocks from the 'speedway' and Clifton Hill so were able to leisurely loll about until noon. The croissant plus breakfast was delicious and included in the rate. The Sterling is a block away from the Victoria WEGO stop which is convenient for the car-less. The TV remote took a bit of figuring out even with the detailed guide. Also, the coffee was weak but these are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Will definitely be back!

The location is very convenient, just a 3-minute walk to the falls. However, the guest service is average. There were some bugs in the room, and they said that this is normal in the summer. They arranged a new room for us, but they were unwilling to deliver the room key to our room. They claimed to be a 5-star luxury hotel, but the service was poor.

This Days Inn is the absolute best. The staff here are amazing. Front desk staff are friendly always very welcoming and extremely accommodating. (Love that some of these ladies have worked here for year as it always nice to see a familiar face) Housekeeping is wonderful. These ladies work very hard to keep the rooms clean and they dova great job, not to mention they also say hello and a smile. Jen/Jan is lovely. The maintenance staff are always nice and friendly as well. The building is well cared for the proximity to the main attractions is a matter of a 3-minute walk away. I recommend this hotel 100%

Overall very clean. Staff are friendly. The nespresso in the rooms was a nice touch. Pool and pool area are great. On-site restaurant is good food and great value. Lots of towels available pool side. Only issue was internet speed and the gym could use better equipment. If you are not there for work or a work out there are no issues. It’s also a little further away from the main ***** making it quieter if that is what you are looking for

My family have been regular visitors to the amazing WhiteOaks Resort and Spa now for thd over 10 years, and recently stayed there several times in June, July and for four nights in August 2022. What an amazing hotel. We are always greeted with such kindness and this continued throughout our stay. When I mentioned it was my wife's birthday (or anniversary), Jeremy at the front desk made sure to deliver complimentary glasses of wine and chocolate-covered strawberries to our room. Jeremy as well as Nicole always ensure we get our favourite room overlooking the beautiful garden. Thanks Jeremy for always greeting us with a smile and taking good care of us. And we are always greated so warmly by Michael and the other doormen upon arrival as soon as we pull up to the entrance. Michael is always giving us great suggestions about places to visit and things to do whenever we arrive. The rooms are fantastic. Clean, modern, and have a fantastic view. There's nothing we can complain about this hotel. The services at WhiteOaks are second to none! A wonderful indoor pool, spa, gym, indoor tennis courts, squash, spinning classes, yoga, child minding, etc. All of the facilities were clean and modern. The restaurant located inside the hotel, Play, Liv, were delicious. We always dine here for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you want a great place to stay in Niagara on the lake, consider WhiteOaks. GGuest UserGood: so cute! Older home with 3 bedrooms. Main floor is unit 1 with a large closet with fridge, it’s own bathroom The hood: Room 1 on the main floor featured a private bath with a tub/shower, shampoo, etc. and more towels than I’ve ever seen for 2 people. Queen sized bed, 2 nightstands and lamps, small bistro set and TV. You enter a common area which features a small table and chairs, and a series of slippers and Crocs to give you the hint that taking shoes off is welcomed. There is also a desk with a laptop set up, and wifi. Next is a room set up as a dining room with cups, plates, flatwear, a micro, coffee pot, mini fridge and a formal wood dining table for 6. This is where breakfast was served in the past. They now leave snacks and fruit as well as coffee for the coffee maker, cream in the fridge, and some rather good biscotti when we were there. The owner lives in the house behind, which is attached, but has no internal connection. I understand there are 2 more units upstairs that are large and maybe share a seating area on the landing. The Falls are down the street, maybe 6 blocks or less. The best souvenirs are located in the State Park gift shop next to Victoria’s Restuarant and Tim Horton’s. Ex: small maple syrup in a glass maple leafed shaped bottle $5.98. Elsewhere is was 7.98 and up. The owner has carefully and cheerfully decorated all the parts we saw. With permission, she can show you a washer and dryer in the house. The Red Ganache Bakery down the street is fabulous. I had some dark chocolate cup filled with coconut cream. And there were several gluten free options, including macarons (not macaroons.. a different thing). The rest of the story; Communication, and breakfast. There are listings all over for this property and due to language barriers and being a small operation, not everything is up to date. There is no hot tub. There are bathtubs. There is no beautiful, wonderful country breakfast that comes with your stay. Fruit and biscotti or muffins, coffee, etc. The photos on Tripmasters of the breakfasts and idea of guests gathered around, visiting, was the reason I booked here. The Red Ganache helped me get over it. And.. the phone numbers seem to change a lot. Or maybe they had a land line that went away. And English is not their first language, so be patient. Lastly, most odd and nothing to do with the listing… transportation to and from Pearson Airport is non existent. Oh there’s a bus… $200 for 2 and upwards of 4 hours to get there. We Uber’d for about the same price, and on a weekday around 3, it still took 2 hours to get there. On a weekday around 9 am, the reverse trip was around an hour. Car rental was $500 for an economy car for 3 days, before any gas, taxes or insurance. So, it is Cozy and it offers an alternative to the $300-700 a night hotels. Sorry, my photos were on the way out.

GGuest UserWe did not know what to expect from a hotel so near to busy Clifton Hill, and were so happy with this choice. From the moment we walked in we felt positive. The staff was friendly at check-in and each staff member we encountered was also friendly and helpful. The halls, elevator, breakfast room and most importantly, our room was spotless and comfortable. We met a man who was cleaning during our stay, and he was thorough. Even in the elevator he was aware of fingerprints he quickly removed. The parking lot was adequate and with the hotel parking stub, was free. I noticed while looking for a place, that some hotels charged hefty parking prices. We slept well for our two night stay. Breakfast was adequate, nothing to write home about, but it didn't matter. If I return, I would definitely choose this place.

RroiberadorThe location is perfect! There is no kettle for coffee, no slippers, no toothbrush and no bath tub. These are free items/things i get or have when I was travelling in China. It is quite normal to have a kettle for tea or coffee. I understand that there is no bath tub because I did not actually check the amenities when I booked it. I was at the 29th floor and my view was the city and not the falls but its ok because that is what I paid for. The best thing is if you go to the 25th floor you will have an amazing view of the Niagara Falls. I would still highly recommend this hotel for those who will go to Niagara Falls. Thank you Tower Hotel...

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance to the Falls and numerous tourist attractions.. Heather and all the staff were great, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. One of the few hotels that had onsite parking.

GGuest UserThe location of this hotel is faultless! Absolutely perfect to be able to see the falls and both Clifton Hill and Victoria Avenue are a short walk away too. As per the other reviews, the hotel rooms are quite dated in terms of the decor and furniture. But our two rooms didn’t have any problems with them. We were on the 6th floor and had a great view of the falls (although the windows could do with a clean!) I would HIGHLY recommend anyone staying here to pre-book breakfast (or a room with breakfast included), because the food is super tasty, filling and the service is great AND you sit over looking the falls too. Why would you leave for breakfast elsewhere when this is your view?!

LOVES: the Juliet balconies that overlook the central atrium -- I loved having a place to drink a coffee or glass of wine in the evening that wasn't the hotel room itself. - the ambiance of the atrium was relaxing and sweet - free breakfast and parking (BONUS) **I loved having breakfast available for our young kids. They served cereal and fruit, toast and muffins. The eggs didn't look amazing, nor did the sausage but it's a FREE BREAKFAST! In Niagara Falls! That alone saves almost $100 for a family of four. -fridges in the bedrooms - price was great :) CONS: - it's outdated. Don't expect modern rooms and decor; the rugs are worn and paint is peeling - the central atrium is very loud in the evenings, busy with hockey tournaments and swimming children. The hotel has quiet time starting at 10pm and they were vigilant in following this protocol Overall: Go here with your family! It's super cute and get a room with a balcony :) Michelle

336030281If you are looking to stay in a decently priced clean property that is perfectly located, Econo Lodge is it. I haven't been back to Niagara Falls and stayed here since 2019. It was the long weekend and I was attending the Diana Ross concert at Fallsview ****** Resort. All hotels were pricey at over $250 a night unless you stayed at a motel way uo Lundys Lane. I got the Econo Lodge for $160. I could walk everywhere being at the top of Clifton Hill, and lots of food choices nearby. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfy and I had a room with a balcony. So it was nice to sit out there late night having drinks and have a coffee in the morning. The shower has awesome water pressure. Only downfall is no mini fridge or microwave. But you can get a nice medium sized bag of ice for no charge at the front desk. Staff are great, very nice and friendly.. John is a really great guy. I will stay again when attending another concert.

AAnonymous UserI am very satisfied. This is my second stay. The boss said to me, welcome home😊😊😊. I saw that the hotel has been renovated, the hygiene and environment are much better than before, and the front desk service has improved a lot. I just forgot to take pictures again. There is a red 601 bus at the door, which is very convenient for visiting Waterfall City. Awesome👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
