The hotel is very close to the train station, within walking distance. The room is also very clean and tidy, and the service is also good. I was allowed to check in when I arrived around 11 am, thank you very much!

The decoration of the hotel bar is very ordinary and the decoration is very old. The carpet in the room is very dirty and gives people the feeling of being messy. The advantage is air conditioning. It is very close to the train station and far from the sea. It takes more than 15 minutes to walk there. Nice feels very dangerous at night. There are a lot of idle people on the road. It is recommended not to go out at night. The prices in Nice are really expensive and the food is not delicious. The seafood and pasta are very ordinary. Just eat in an environment.

We have been using the Trocadero for several years now, as it serves as a great and affordable base of operations for our visits to Nice. It isn't what you would necessarily call luxurious, however it is perfectly serviceable and has never once let us down. It appears to have had a bit of a make-over since our last visit too, freshening elements of the place up that, truth be told, probably needed it. The rooms are perfect for couples, they offer all the amenities you would expect, the rooms are clean and secure and the staff are, on the whole, helpful. On this occasion we were put in the highest room in the hotel, in what I now refer to as the penthouse suite. Whilst my tongue might be firmly in my cheek, it cannot be denied that being so high up on the 5th floor, with nobody above you (and barely any rooms around you) made a huge difference to the quality of our stay and I would actively seek this room out again when we return, which we almost certainly will. Our room offered great views over the more provincial Nice skyline, which is actually really nice for someone who doesn't live in a comparable place. This is achieved through two large skylights and a sloping roof, which also ensures this room is really light and airy. You will almost certainly be given a key card that the reception have failed to activate (I think this has happened on more than one occasion to us) but this is easily remedied, and don't forget to request the control set to the in-room air conditioning unit. These are often overlooked too. The hotel does offer breakfast, but we have never partaken and so I cannot comment on it. This hotel is in a neighbourhood that appears on first glance to be somewhat "sketchy" for want of a better word. However, don't let first impressions fool you - it is a perfectly safe and vibrant little area, and one that I really enjoy visiting. It's a bit tatty in places (much like the Trocadero) but that adds to its charm. In short, if you want an affordable place to stay in Nice, then the Trocadero is a MUST. It may lack the luxury of other hotels in the city, but who comes to Nice to sit in their hotel?? It merely needs to serve a purpose, and the Trocadero does this brilliantly.

Very well located hotel, right near the centre and the train station, as well as a 20 minute walk to the beach. The room itself was absolutely fine, with a comfortable double bed, air con and a decent sized wardrobe with a safe. The bathroom had a good sized shower with toiletries included. Only downside of the room is the paper thin pillow (yes only 1) each. Also our room seemed to be near the pipes, so anytime water ran on an upper floor, you could hear it very loudly. You got used to this however and it was fine.

I loved about this stay is Great Location in Nice , but the room was dusty full carpeted room and dusty low Attic ceiling (with insect) that me and my friend had skin rushes (room must be deep cleaned) . No bidet in the bathroom. first time experience in a hotel with no provided umbrellas for the guest in case of bad weather.

A small room with a comfortable double bed and enough room to move around. Modern bathroom with good shower. Soap and shampoo supplied clean tiles I had a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet and the winters were double glazed. I got what I paid for.

Good value, clean, comfortable room. Conveniently located close to the train station and accessible with a short walk by tram from the airport. Friendly staff with optional breakfast available. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Fair accomodation, no internet available, tiny bahtroom, a little bit noisy over the night when people are walking by. Very close to the train station which is a big plus. The position of the hotel is very good as it is in the city center. Overall, fair hotel, fair price.
