My wife and I stayed here whilst visiting our daughter who lives nearby. Our double room was very comfortable and, being at the back of the hotel, was very quiet so we slept well. There is a coffee machine in each room extra supplies for which can be got from reception. It’s in a good location with a couple of restaurants close by and a short walk to Ochsenzoll where there are more restaurants and a U Bahn station which takes you into Hamburg. The breakfast buffet is well presented with a wide variety of food on offer. It is extremely good and the breakfast service is very efficient. The lounge area is very cosy and comfortable and is stocked with a huge selection of coffee-table art books which are great to browse through at leisure. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Have been coming there for many years, now booked the room through the hotel itself, unfortunately the booking did not go through properly so another room on the 2nd floor above the kitchen, woke up at 5:30 am by noises from the kitchen, and no additional pillows, shower rod holder in shower cabin fell down, breakfast was also super good and the furnishings have been the same for years. Didn't see staff from previous years.

Cozy room with very comfortable bed. Excellent customer service, with extra details that exceed its functions. They hired us taxis, prepared picnic-breakfast bags, and supported us with the loss of a personal item until it was resolved. I would return without hesitation.

Ich habe mich absolut wohlgefühlt und kenne weltweit viele 5 Stern Hotels. Klar, ist das ein anderer Komfort aber was man hier geboten bekommt, ist neben einem sehr gepflegten Ambiente, gutes Essen und entspannter Atmosphäre das Gefühl, als Mensch wertgeschätzt zu sein. Dieses Hotel wird von anständigen Leuten mit viel Liebe geführt.

Norderstedt is certainly not worth a trip, but if you have something to do in this place, the relatively small hotel 800 meters from the Hamburg city limits is a pretty good choice. We had booked the spacious suite there and, apart from the very uncomfortable shower, felt quite comfortable. You could make yourself comfortable here, we even had a refrigerator at our disposal, very practical in this heat! The entrance to the house is downright spectacular, with numerous cozy seating areas and an unbelievably large number of books on culture and travel. You can get something to drink here almost at any time of day or night - at hotel prices, of course. The breakfast buffet is moderately extensive and doesn't lack anything really essential. And a relatively small hotel can't offer a huge selection if everything is always supposed to be fresh and the number of hotel guests is naturally manageable compared to large chain hotels.

The themed rooms were highly praised by other guests. If the theme of our room was "late 1980s" then it was spot on, but it didn't match the great advertising pictures. Restaurant, bar, everything was closed - you wonder where these great pictures on the website come from? The second point is that the receptionist made us cancel the room immediately after viewing it. We then chose another hotel.
