Club Wyndham Towers on the Grove

We had a beautiful unit overlooking the ocean. The hotel is in a good location in North Myrtle Beach where you can essentially park your car and walk to restaurants, etc. The Lazy River and pools were nice, and there was no problem with seating there, but remember, we were there at the end of Oct. I cannot vouch for the in-season crowd. Loud music played most of the day, but that seems to be the thing everywhere. Check in was efficient, and there were so many luggage trolleys that moving in and moving out were the best we've ever experienced. We did attend the Wyndham presentation--sold ourselves for some nice incentives--and found the presentation deceitful. Wyndham points are not equivalent nor interchangeable with the points we use from our other timeshares or RCI, so buyer beware. The unit was smaller than some, but considering the location, that was fine. It was set to accommodate up to 6, but that would have been an incredible stretch. We were two. It was essentially a railroad flat, so unless you require no privacy....Our big complaint with the unit was that there were two double beds. We were not happy with that at all. But the big question is Would We Go Back, and the answer is probably although we prefer Myrtle Beach which is about 30 minutes away. We did go there several times during the week, and, again, we are in the off-season so traffic was light. It would be a much longer ride in-season. We are not Club Wyndham members, so I'm sure you cannot book this in season. We wanted a beach vacation when it was still warm, and South Carolina fit the bill. It sounds like I'm complaining a lot, but we really had a nice week.

This was my first time staying at Towers on the Grove and it won’t be my last! It was better than expected. Twice a week they have a guy playing steel drums by the pools which was a wonderful addition! Lavanda the events host is fun and upbeat, one of the most fun activity that they play is bingo and a couple of the prizes being a bottle of Duplin wine is awesome! The grounds worker “Will” is super helpful, friendly and always working to keep the place amazing. Lazy river is heated and Will said it’s even open and heated in the off season! I had a one bedroom oceanfront and the kitchen was tiny and cramped but fully stocked. I enjoy cooking and I made it work! The room was super clean.

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient area. We flew into MYR and after visiting the boardwalk in Myrtle, it was a very short ride to North Myrtle and the property. Check-in was very easy and we were unpacked and enjoying the property in no time at all. We walked the beach every day. 0.8 miles to the fishing pier was a nice stroll along this amazing beach as the tide was going out. Soft sand on top of the beach. Not crowded this time of year. Walk to enjoy the ocean or try to find some of the amazing shells. Either way it was nice. The room was clean and fully stocked with our shower and cooking essentials. With the IGA only two streets away, this was very convenient to get our food for the week. The entire staff always had a smile. We went to the desk a time or two for questions, and they were always beyond pleasant. A huge Thank You to Lavanda of the Entertainment Staff for always hosting a fun game of Bingo, Wine/Trivia, Duck Race around the Lazy River, and walk along the beach teaching us about the variety of shells in the area. Her local knowledge for activities, adventures and food was beyond beneficial. This is a nice property in a great area very close to many different attractions. Have a week shopping or just take the week sitting by the two hot tubs or two pools or even on the beach. This is a great spot.

We had an excellent experience at the Club Wyndham Towers on the Grove. The unit was a perfect size for us, and we overlooked the pool and ocean. All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Each day they offered fun activites. The location was good and parking was easy. We'll stay there again!

The stay was fine. Perfect location with walking distance to restaurant, groceries, and some shopping. Next door to Snooky's and Murphys on the beachfront for great food, drinks and entertainment - including karaoke...Staff was 5 star great and the room was very clean. Easy, short walk to the beach that includes a lifeguard in season and a few nice facilities such as lazy river, small pool and hot tub, fire pit, gazebo and grassy area with cornhole and BBQ. The sacrifice/one drawback is no extensive lobby area for relaxing indoors. We will return.
