We spent a week here as a family of 5 as part of a tour group. This is our impression, but it is consistent with that of the group as a whole. First of all: the hotel is given 3 stars, the star rating does not follow the German and now common European rating. LIGHT: 1. We found the location and most of the general hotel areas to be positive: access to the sea is close and in front of the hotel there is a pleasant pine forest with plenty of shade, a children's playground with sand, an external bar and restaurant and a mini golf course. 2. Small children can not only swim in the toddler pool but also in the seawater pools on the hotel grounds. The neighboring hotel has a very good indoor playground (for a fee) for rainy days. 3. The reception area has been lavishly restored, we found the pool area and the hotel as well as the rooms to be very clean, 4. the staff were friendly and 80%-90% German-speaking or at least English-speaking. 5. There is good internet reception (free of charge) throughout the hotel and in the pine forest, etc. 6. Breakfast was extremely varied and arranged as a buffet. Dinner was good, but guests were not confused by the constantly changing offerings: after 2 evenings you knew pretty much exactly what was available and where it was. SHADOWS: 1. The rooms in particular are not up to the standard of the common areas. This applies on the one hand to the inadequate size and on the other to the furnishings (more details below). 2. Parking situation / security: Parking costs extra per night (3 EUR), which is also automatically charged if you arrive by car. However, there are far too few parking spaces and these are only suitable for small cars. The unloading area is therefore partly used for parking, and a hotel employee always parked her vehicle in front of the parking row so that turning was hardly possible. A fire service approach from the front of the hotel is therefore impossible, and access from the rear is limited due to a U-shaped structure. 3. Drinks supply and prices: There were no drinks or a minibar in the room, and nothing on offer. Drinks were served to order during meals, but there were far too few waiters assigned to do this, so that when the buffet was in a rush, ordering before dessert was a matter of luck. The drink prices were disproportionate, for example: bottle of local still water around/over 4 EUR, 0.2L apple juice 4 EUR. 0.4L local pilsner 4.30 EUR. 4. Ambience during meals: There are 2 large dining rooms with lots of tables and are accordingly loud. 5. Sea view: About half of the rooms have a balcony. However, the high pine forest means there is hardly any unobstructed view. ROOM SIZE: We can only expressly warn against full occupancy according to the information provided by the hotel; if you book an extra bed, you will be booking a pure mattress room.
