Zanzibar Star Resort

I went to Nungwi with two friends. Stayed at this hotel for 12 nights in late November/early December. It all started with the fact that we were greeted very warmly, everything was explained briefly and clearly, then our luggage was taken to the second floor, where we lived. ROOM The room is clean, the beds have four posters, there is a TV with smart TV. Every day they cleaned the room perfectly, removed the sand as best they could (there was a lot of it), hung up our wet clothes, carefully folded our dry ones, sometimes even washed the sand off our shoes and left them to dry on the balcony!!! It was very nice. Towels were changed every day. Tips are welcome there! But not without problems. Upon arrival, we discovered that the shower drain was clogged and the air conditioning was barely working. Everything was quickly fixed. The refrigerator, fan, TV, kettle worked properly, but there was no hairdryer. BREAKFASTS were monotonous, but very tasty. On the buffet: fruits (papaya, watermelon, pineapples), cereals, donuts, sweet rolls, Nutella, coffee, cocoa, tea. Individually, upon request, they made scrambled eggs in any form with vegetables, beans, sausages, pancakes, and I’m sure there was something else, I just wasn’t interested. Sometimes they displayed avocados. STAFF Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would especially like to mention the hotel administrator. He solved everything instantly, answered all questions and conveyed information competently, a pleasant, polite man, a professional in his field! TERRITORY Quite compact, but very cozy. Two swimming pools with sun loungers, towels provided. The first couple of days they offered their services (massage, restaurant services), then they stopped after refusals)) It was always clean, this was carefully monitored. The gardener was working. Grounds fee: $1 per person per day. I would like to note that we were there at the beginning of the season, so there weren’t many people (room 3 was occupied besides ours), so it felt like we were relaxing alone. There are no queues or crowds at breakfast, the pool is like our own, and the approach is naturally more sensitive to everyone. IN GENERAL In Zanzibar there are a lot of mosquitoes at night and the canopies don’t help, in the morning the crows scream madly, so you can’t do without air conditioning to close the windows. The food is not very tasty on the whole island, you really need to find a pearl. Ours was... on the beach almost next to the hotel. Nearby are exchange offices and a shop on the beach, all 5 minutes away. Many told us that there was no wine. THERE IS WINE. We bought it in a dutik and carried plus a thousand kg, when the store on the beach sells almost the same thing for the same price.

Good full breakfast, pleasant staff who always try to help. There are two swimming pools on the territory, very clean, the hotel staff constantly cleans them. It’s not far from the ocean, everything you need, shops, souvenirs, cafes, restaurants, bars, is within walking distance. I was completely satisfied with my vacation.
