Beautiful boutique hotel with two pools and so many trees and plants you feel like in a small jungle. It takes approx. 3 min to get to the sea - you probably won’t swim in that area right away as the beach is not cleaned there, but after a short walk towards Nungwi direction, you’ll find plenty of sunbeds for a good price. At Maisha Nungwi, you can chill by the clean pool for a whole day if you are the pool person! Mind that Nungwi is not a resort area - you live next to the locals, you get to experience their live on the beach, pass the local school, etc. For us, this is what we were looking for and loved it. The turtle sanctuary is just next door - definitely go there, you’ll learn a lot and see majestic turtles. Please don’t swim with them if you have your sunscreen on.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, le stanze pulite e gli asciugamani cambiati ogni giorno, le piscine in mezzo al verde molto belle e lettini comodi. Il punto forte è sicuramente lo staff, tutti cordiali e disponibili in ogni momento! Bello anche il bar sulla spiaggia con proposte di eventi quasi ogni sera. Ottima anche la colazione, consiglio molto!

Our stay at Maisha was really nice. The staff is always kind and accommodating, the rooms are spacious and the two pools very tropical. The hotel is surrounded by nature and you really feel the exotic vibe. Maisha beach restaurant is also very nice, we visited when they had the sea food grilled night and it was great! Highly recommend it!
