The room is average, old. The room alone is not worth 1700. There is no need to spend money to stay here, you can walk in to the bar, Thai restaurant, Indian restaurant, afternoon tea, and you can pay with cash or credit card. You can enter all places by punching in. Many people come here to punch in and eat and then stay in other hotels. I think the hill club next door is a good substitute, they are all old houses anyway. Save 1000 yuan and do anything you want, rich people can do whatever they want. The black people here are completely different from the Chinese and white people. When white people check in, they will take you on a hotel tour and introduce you. The black person who took us to the room had a cold face the whole time, and of course I wouldn't give you the tip I prepared if you gave me a face. The hotel has a check-out time of 11 o'clock, please note this. I agreed to 12 o'clock, and he called me at 11:30 to ask me to check out, otherwise I would be fined 5000 rupees...haha

The facilities are old, only the public area and the garden are the most beautiful. The room smells very musty, and the flush toilet is often not flushed. I barely slept on the first night, and I couldn't stand the musty smell the next day so I changed rooms. There are obviously many vacancies in the off-season. I don't understand why we were assigned a noisy, small, and road-side room on the first day. The waiter was very cold, as if he worked in a hotel where the queen stayed and he was the queen himself. The best attitude was the waiter of grand tai, who was warm and thoughtful. There are many restaurant choices. It is recommended to eat Thai food, walk in the garden and drink afternoon tea, and there is no need to stay overnight.

The hotel environment is good, but the room is a bit small. The small garden is not open, and there is no suitable place to walk around. However, the small souvenir shop in the hotel is good, and I even bought two professional books.

Appearance: It is as exquisite as the building blocks I played with when I was a child, and it is very good for taking pictures. Interior: Noble and elegant, full of age but not old at all. Catering: There are buffet and Indian restaurant a la carte for dinner. We choose to taste the authentic Indian meal. The curry is really quite enough, but it is acceptable. In particular, we would like to commend SanKaLpa who served us. He is a very humorous Yala guy. He enthusiastically recommends and introduces special delicacies for us, making our dining experience particularly comfortable👍 Service: Everyone is full of enthusiasm from the moment they enter the lobby, unlike some guides that discriminate against Chinese people, they don't feel it at all. Supporting facilities: The swimming pool is so beautiful, there are few people, and it is a little hidden; the small garden is also very pleasant to stroll around.

Our visit to Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya was enhanced by the exceptional hospitality of Mr. Manoj from the front office. He warmly welcomed us and provided a comprehensive introduction to the hotel facilities. Upon his recommendation, we enjoyed the exquisite high tea service, which was truly delightful. Mr. Manoj's attentive service added greatly to our experience. We extend our gratitude for his outstanding hospitality and commendable service.

A great night of snooker tuition from the Chief Billiard Marker and Masters Snooker Championship Sri Lanka 2016 Runner Up. A great frame of snooker, followed up by a good number of fun trick shots Thank you Nimal, we’ll be back tomorrow night!!

This was my first high tea experience and it did not disappoint! The staff were very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and made with a lot of care and consideration. The hotel is beautiful, and we loved sitting outside in the fresh air whilst enjoying the yummy food. Highly recommend this experience if you can

What an old, grand and lovely hotel. As you walk into the hotel it’s like walking back in time. You are greeted at the door and treated like royalty, all the staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are excellent and spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel. We had bed breakfast and evening meal and the food was fantastic, such a large selection. All the waiting staff were so polite and helpful. What a fantastic hotel. Thank you
