Excellent, clean, normal Marriott breakfast with oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausages . Very happy with our stay there.

Location in the middle of Oakland was convenient. Room was exceptional, but lack of a coin laundry (you had to download an app and recharge a balance) was annoying to say the least.

The location is not difficult to find. I took a taxi directly from the airport, which is quite convenient. The room facilities are really complete, like a family hotel, and it is clean and tidy.

Fully equipped breakfast, friendly service, elegant environment and convenient transportation, suitable for all kinds of business, family and travel accommodation. The room includes a kitchen, living room and various kitchen utensils

Very good trip, top room

First I want to applaud the valet crews of this hotel. Henry was exceptional, he was very professional, friendly & polite. He was very helpful to us during our stay. I can say the same for Alex & Chave as well. All of them were auper accommodating & friendly. All of the front desk crews were amazing. Jocelyn, the front desk staff who assisted us upon checked in was very helpful, polite & professional. Rooms are spacious & clean. Breakfast facility was clean but breakfast staffs really need improvement. During our first day of breakfast most items were unavailable. Some guests including myself complained & brought it to front desk's attention. One breakfast staff even answered a guest's question rather rude.

This is a combo AC / Residence Inn property just south of 980/24 across from the state building in Downtown Oakland. I usually stay at either the Courtyard or Marriott a few blocks south when in Oakland but tried this one as it was new and the room rates seemed reasonable. The bar serves limited food options but again the service was very good. My only complaints were the $50 valet Daily parking charge (And in Downtown Oakland - you dare not try public parking with a rental Car) and the breakfast was confusing and expensive (20 bucks for pretty standard breakfast food). Apparently you order a menu item and you also have the buffet as an option, BUT let me say the rooms were clean, the location isn't terrible (very close to freeway) and it was a quiet stay. I strongly recommend this place!

Needed to be in SF for work but there was a convention so hotel prices were high. As an ex-resident of the Bay area, I know BART well, so a quick hop to downtown Oakland was not a problem. This place was well worth the trip. Great kitchen and living room space, lovely bedroom with views, huge bathroom ... it was a like a chic little apartment. Fitness room was quite good, too. Only the breakfast was a bit uninspired, though they did have these mini scones that were delicious. All the brewed coffee was BOLD, which I guess was similar to a French or Italian roast? Too strong for me, but I mixed it with decaf and it was fine. Not a bad walk from the 12th Street BART stop. For the space and the price, I'd probably stay here next time I'm in town!
