Sandals Royal Plantation All Inclusive - Couples Only

It’s all about the Sandals Royal Plantation staff… the reason we booked last year, this year and next year. Butlers Duwainey and Richard are exceptional, treated us as family and seemed to anticipate our needs before we knew them. Shout out to wait staff Nicola, Stephnie, Raxon, Taj-A and others who genuinely engage with guests; theirs is a commitment to delight, not simply a job. Beach bartenders Collin, beach butlers Trevardo and Danello, Pub bartender Garnet and server Trecel somehow knew when and what needed to be delivered, and always did so with good-humored repartee. Lorna and Donel in the Gift Shop made a return visit delightful. On our morning walk-abouts for exercise, security guard Charmaine became a good friend. Shanakey and Brandon were always helpful arranging activities. Spa staff Garth and Allison were accommodating, kind and amazing. For return bookings, Jessica is an absolute wizard at finding the right room, schedule and pricing. And, last but not least, General Manager Omar Robinson displayed true professionalism and hospitality by welcoming all guests by name. (We also observed his commitment to his staff by pitching in where needed.) Bottom line: We’ve booked for 2025. That says it all.

We stayed five nights at Sandal’s Royal Plantation from August 2-7, 2024. To date, our stay at Royal Plantation has been by far our most memorable and enjoyable. First, the staff is outstanding. Omar, the general manager is a wonderful host. Our butlers Gladstone and Sherill, were attentive and provided exceptional service. They booked our restaurant reservations, brought us special meals on the beach, and left us surprises in our room to help us celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Other staff that we were grateful for: Alex, who entertained us nightly, Garth and the staff in the spa who provided restorative treatments, and Dell at the bar with his special concoctions. All of the servers, beach butlers, water sports staff, and housekeeping staff were top notch. Second, the property is unique. There are only 74 rooms and during our stay, the property was about half full. That gave us a laid back, no hurries and no worries experience. The boutique feel of the property allowed us to get to know other guests without having a loud, party atmosphere. The décor and grounds give an old world feel that prompts a slower pace. The beach is rights sized with plenty of available beach loungers and shade. We only went one night to visit Sandal’s Ochi only a ten-minute shuttle ride away. While there we enjoyed the sushi restaurant and exploring the resort. It had a noticeably party atmosphere with younger guests. We have a trip already booked for December 2025. We can’t wait to get back to “Omar’s House” to celebrate a special birthday with our friends and special staff members who welcomed us as family.

We stayed at Sandals Royal Plantation for our engagement getaway and it was incredible! Our butlers, Sherril and Gladstone were phenomenal - positive and smiling, super attentive and caring, and did everything they could to make our stay and proposal memorable. We can't thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to giving us an exceptional guest experience. We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the pub, specifically the piano sing along with Brendan and Alex. They both have amazing singing voices and we had a lot of fun! Garnet, aka "Crocodile" was a fabulous bartender at the pub. He was always smiling and made the most delicious drinks. Every morning we were greeted at breakfast at the Terrace restaurant by Tianna with a big smile. She remembered our favourite drink order and how we took our coffee just after the first day! Tianna was very sweet and made us feel special. Deaundray was another favourite server of ours! We enjoyed lunch at the beachside seafood restaurant almost daily and Deaundray was always there with a smile. He went above and beyond to make sure we had our favourite coconut shrimp and coconut lobster on our last day. Tip! Make sure to ask for the coconut lobster. It is not on the menu but is delicious and a must try!! One of the best parts of Royal Plantation is that guests also have access to Sandals Ochi and Dunns River. Omar the shuttle driver "The Spontaneous Express" was a blast!! He was tons of fun and super happy. We would sing tunes together on the shuttle and joke around. Omar is an awesome, positive, happy person who is an amazing addition to the Royal Plantation team. A special shout out to Calvin, the Ochi Hop driver, for getting us back to our resort one night. Thanks Calvin!! Last but not least, a huge shout out to Omar the GM of the resort. Omar knew our names from day one and always said hi when he saw us around the resort. Every day, we would see Omar walking around, interacting with guests, and creating memorable guest experiences. Omar runs an incredible resort, very smooth, and a huge emphasis on amazing guest experiences. Overall, my fiance and I had an incredible time at Sandals Royal Plantation and will definitely come back again!! We highly recommend the resort for couples looking for a quiet and romantic getaway. The food was delicious, staff all very friendly and kind, and the property grounds and views were spectacular. Thank you! Adam and Erin

Royal Plantation trip report - December 15-24 We arrived through Ian Fleming Airport, I highly recommend it for your next SRP/Ochi/SDR trip. The resort is as quaint as ever, and there was a very high level of service from every employee at all times. The stand outs for us were our butler team of Marvin and Bebeato, and Gator the pub bartender. The pub a/c is still out, and Omar the GM said it will be a while because they are shipping in a new unit. Speaking of Omar, he memorizes each guest couple and greats them and asks after each. Impressive. Food was always good to great. Beach butler service was always good to great. As usual, the team gets you any off menu items you want with a day’s notice, the **** chicken wellington and the meat pies were the best. We went to Ochi for dinner and the Rabbit Hole one night, there was a service issue with one person but otherwise great. For some reason the singer Lady Sachet (sp?) sang more lounge songs than 20s and 30s music. Dunn’s for Zuka and the Rum Club was also great. I would have liked more time to explore Dunn's, the rooftop bar looked great and seemed underused. Friday night there was an off resort issue, we were third floor of the East building, and the parking lot party off property was very loud with lots of base, and kept going until after midnight. The soft reno of the East building rooms is great, except the fancy glass half divider for the bathtub allows the water to freely bounce out onto the floor.

My husband and I take a yearly trip to get away from work and the stressors of daily life around my birthday. The team at Royal Plantation made this birthday incredible. Omar is amazing remembering every guests name and their celebratory reason for being there (mind you, everyone who stays here is usually celebrating something!). The food is incredible, the chef outdoes themselves every time! The teams are incredible. We were blessed to have Bebeato and Carlos. No stone went unturned for us. Our Beach butlers Danielo and Trevardo took care of us exquisitely. And we cannot say enough about the entertainment staff (Alex taught us some Jamaican moves!)and the bartenders at the WP - Javaine, Junior and Garnet were out of this world. We def. left wobbly a few times :D Anyway, we loved the place so much that we booked to come back. We usually never return to the same place because we want to check out other sites, but this place is too special not to return.

This was our 5th trip to Sandals Royal Plantation, and it truly feels like "home". The GM, Omar, runs a beautiful ship. All the employees are so welcoming and friendly. We get top notch service from our butlers (Carlos and Bebeato), our favorite spa ladies (Camille and Diana), and the superb bar staff (Junior, Garnett, Delano, Trishell). The beach butlers (Daniello, Trevardo, Romaine) bring such joy and service to the beach - which is a nice perk specific to this location! It's so nice to see the same staff trip after trip - Hushane (do the caviar/champagne with him!), Joseph and Shenia at Le Papillion, Taj-A at the Royal Grill, Vanya at the Terrace, Nataki and Orian with entertainment....I could go on and on about the amazing employees! We split our time between the golf course and diving in the mornings, so we can't leave out the awesome bus drivers (David, Omar, Winston) who get us to and from those destinations in a safe and fun manner. The dive team at Ochi next door, as well as the staff at the Sandals golf course are also fantastic! It's really a lot of the little things that add up - like when our luggage didn't arrive, Doneil and Lorna in the gift shop helped set us up with everything we needed and even hemmed clothing for us on site! When we had an issue with a small leak in our room, management went above and beyond to ensure the matter was addressed. This resort still has that old world, quiet charm with personal service that I hope never goes away. Our travel agent, Mike with Dream Makers Vacation Services, always makes sure our special requests are taken care of and the trip plays out flawlessly - highly recommend if you are looking for a Sandals specialist. We have several more trips booked with them at Sandals in the future as well!
