Hotels near Disney＇s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Orlando

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? This hotel feels like a small community with two outdoor swimming pools 🏊‍♀️ and laundry. I think this hotel is the most cost-effective. The key to the hotel is the Disney bracelet. At the same time, it can also bind your park tickets. The most important thing is that your name will be carved on it! After checking out, I will give it to you as a memorial! !! Awesome! The restaurant is in the lobby and has very American characteristics, basically some fast food. For transportation, there are cable cars that lead directly to the Animal Kingdom and the future world, and buses connect to the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood. Overall, living here really feels like a holiday and is very laid back.

Very good location, the overall Disney experience is good, there is a shuttle bus in the park, you can open the door with a magic bracelet, and there is an extended service every day. The service is very kind and gave a lot of play suggestions. Overall new renovation, clean and comfortable. recommend. Ctrip service is very good. I’m sitting here on my last night and feeling sad, I don’t want to leave. I wanted to write a review because there were so many bad reviews that I was getting a little bummed before I came. First off, do not be afraid of the construction going on. My building was literally right across from it and I barely heard anything or saw anything. Second, everyone keeps talking about how the rooms need updating and I agree to a point. I did not feel my room was dank or worn. It was beautiful. It was clean. We loved it. They cleaned everyday too and even at Animal Kingdom in January we didn’t have that. The Lagoon View is great o highly recommend! We ate at Citricos , and are waiter Giovanni was excellent and the food was fabulous. We were a party of 13 with 8 kids and he handles us with ease. The pools are all great, my kids love them especially the slide pool! The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful. The location is very good. The monorail makes it easy to go to Magic Kingdom and even going to Epcot didn’t take as long as people on line act like it does! We still totally rope dropped! Bottom line it was a great trip. We were a party of 13 and no one is complaining! Yes it is super expensive. Disney is expensive! Other then that we were really happy and are sad to leave! My only recommendation is when there is an issue and there were a few at check in you go back to throwing lightening lanes at people like the fast passes in the old days! It makes you feel like you are getting some kind of compensation when things aren’t perfect. Just fyi all of our issues were resolved. They were nice about it too!

Check in is at 6 p.m. which is truly inconvenient since check out is at 11 a.m, Our room wasn't ready until after 7 p.m. Our room had a dead roach in it. On top, you need to pay for parking which is ridiculous. When you call the front desk, it takes over 10 minutes to get anyone on the phone. The rooms are small and cramped.4 of us in a room was truly tooooo much. The room wasn't cleaned while we stayed.

This place is amazing! We got a stand alone house with our own private pool and hot tub… screened in! It was amazing! The house had every single amenity and then some. As clean as my house at home it was amazing! Hurricane Ian blew in and we lost the last three days of activities but being at the house at the summer bay resort we felt safe and secure. The resort call to check on us it was just amazing! We can’t wait to come back and book the house again this time it will be for two weeks. Thank yoy summer bay for the memories!

First, we paid for a room with a pool view, but when we arrived, we were given a room without a pool view. It took some time (approximately 2 hours) and some convincing, but the manager was able to relocate us to a room with a pool view. When we arrived in the new room, we were pleased with the location and space; however, the furnishings appeared old and not well-maintained; most wooden furniture contained many scratches, the dresser drawers in the bedroom were off the rails and not easily opened, seating on the couch in the living room was impossible, as one almost sank to the floor when attempting to sit on the couch. The overall style and look of the furnishings were just old. It's so sad for a hotel with a great location and upscale reputation.

We were greeted by Franciely she was great and she took care of us and made sure we were well attended. We got a couple of frozen drinks and mixed drinks and they tasted so good! I highly recommend swinging by this bar and enjoying the fun in the sun and the great people!

Great for children, the hotel is clean, the pool is open all year round, and it is a heated pool! There are many breakfasts. They are all Western style. Buy a Disney quilt drink and drink it. If you want to play Disney, you must stay in a Disney hotel.
