I don't usually leave reviews, but after returning this afternoon I felt compelled to do so as it really was a poor experience. I'll start with the good, and that's the staff, they are really busy and with it being the end of season maybe some had already left and they were really understaffed but they do everything they can to be helpful and do so with smiles. We were there for Halloween and they do go all out for Halloween and dress the hotel up and it does look really good. The room was quite large although very basic, there is a small fridge in there, TV and a large balcony. The issues with this hotel stand out considerably, however. First off, there is no communal indoor seating in this hotel, no indoor bar, so when the weather is poor, the only place you can really go is back to your room. I don't pay good money to sit in my room all day because of bad weather. Second, there is only one bar that covers the whole entire hotel, and the beginning of the week, there was only 1 person serving, so the queue was horrific. There is a 2 drinks per order rule but if you spoke Spanish, it wasn't enforced. We saw some people ordering upto 7 drinks at a time over and over again and were never challenged. The selection of drinks included in the all inclusive offering was also poor, but I feel like that was an attempt to get you to upgrade to their "Magnus" package. Third, is the restaurant. For me this was the biggest let down of the hotel. It is way too small for a hotel of this size. The hotel was busy with it being the British half term, and the average wait time to actually get into the restaurant was roughly 40 minutes per meal time. So that's 40 minutes, 3 times a day.... Not only that, but once in the restaurant you have to join the queue just to get to the food. Again, I don't go on holiday to spend hours every day queuing for food. Finally, as someone has already mentioned, the hotel ran a promotion for the locals at some sort of discounted rate, so the last few days the hotel was absolutely rammed. It was a disaster. I want to choose my words carefully but if your British, you'll understand this, it was like being at Pontins. The adults really didn't care and just wanted the food and drink, the kids were absolutely feral and were running round the hotel at all hours, throwing stuff in the pools whilst the adults sat around and did nothing about it. We've been to the Fergus Style Cala Blsnca Suites hotel in Santa Ponsa a couple of times and it was great, but after the week we've just had, I would think twice about booking a Fergus hotel again.
