Frustrating Experience at Vikrama Heritage Resort and Spa I recently stayed at Vikrama Heritage Resort and Spa, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The laid-back and slow service attitude of the staff left much to be desired. After requesting a towel post-swimming, no one attended to my needs for over 45 minutes.Furthermore, the air conditioning in my room was malfunctioning, and when I contacted housekeeping, it took them 45 minutes to arrive. The "fix" they applied lasted a mere two minutes, and the issue persisted immediately after they left. Additionally, despite being promised immediate action for a room change within 10 minutes, I had to endure another 2 hours of waiting with no response. While the property itself is undeniably pretty and well-maintained, the severely understaffed and seemingly indifferent service attitude of the staff tarnishes the experience. It's perplexing how this establishment maintains a 4-plus star rating with such glaring issues in hospitality. I hope the management addresses these concerns promptly to enhance the overall guest experience. Staff members such as Varsha and SP sir at front desk genuinely need proper training on dealing with check in and check outs they are mostly not even available at front desk when needed. I experienced a lack of basic information upon arrival at the front desk. The staff failed to explain essential details such as available facilities, meal timings, and swimming pool usage rules. It raises concerns about the effectiveness of their customer service training. Additionally, I found the front desk male personnel to be lacking in soft-spokenness and basic politeness. It was disappointing to witness a disregard for customer service in such a crucial role.I noticed that I wasn't alone in my dissatisfaction, as multiple other customers had vivid complaints ranging from shower and TV issues to key problems. Unfortunately, it seemed that their concerns were falling on deaf ears. While the property's beauty is undeniable, it's crucial for Sarovar Portico to recognize that a complete staff revamp is essential for a truly positive guest experience. Aesthetic appeal alone won't compensate for the shortcomings in service. I recommend planning your visit only after they've successfully upped their game with a more attentive and courteous staff. During checkout it appears there was a discrepancy in my bill, as I was charged four times my actual amount. Upon inquiry, I was informed that the additional charges were due to the lack of signatures from other guests in the dining area. So yes overall suggestion avoid staying here if you believe hospitality is crucial.
